GOP should not run a moderate next time?

gop should stop pandering to religious nutbars and *social* conservaives for starters.

then maybe pretending that they're still the party of small govt won't look so completely fraudulent.

which religious nutbars did romney successfully pander to? he is, after all, in a cult.

Does not matter who the G O P runs the left will always demonize them.

Is that any different than what the right does to Democrat candidates?

Immie

Did the right accuse Obama of murder? Of being a felon? Of being an evil rich white guy? Do tell.

Not those things in particular but they demonized him just the same... socialist... the great divider... how many times over the last four years have I heard his name mentioned in comparison to Hitler? Stalin? Communist?

Please don't try to deny it.

Or maybe those were terms of endearment?

BTW, when did anyone accuse Romney of murder or being a felon?

And since he is a stuck up rich guy... why do you take offense to that?

i was referring to the party, not mitt.

it's been 40 years since roe v wade and they still wave it like a bloody shirt to attract the hard core pro-life people.

unfortunately, there are not and never will be enough hard core pro lifers to elect someone president, so what they wind up doing is alienating people who probably would consider a gop candidate.

do you think the akins of the world help attract women voters?

goldwater saw this coming over thirty years ago, and he was right.

"When you say 'radical right' today, I think of these moneymaking ventures by fellows like Pat Robertson and others who are trying to take the Republican Party away from the Republican Party, and make a religious organization out of it. If that ever happens, kiss politics goodbye."

Will know more in two years when conservatives take the Senate....

LOL! Considering you lost the popular vote and 2 seats in the Senate this time, I wouldn't bet your bippy on it. LMAO!

I hope Im wrong but the GOP should take the Senate. Of course I said that for this election too. Dems have twenty seats to defend. GOP has 13. Susan Collins, who got 61% of the vote last time will be targeted in the primary. Highly unlikely whatever drone the TEA party installs gets 60%. Maine isn't Texas. So the Dems may have a shot in ME.
