So Occupy Oakland is planning to shut down the port, despite the fact that the main people who will get hurt will not be the 1%, but the longshoremen and other hourly Joe Lunchpail workers. The union is not supporting them and the port has placed a full page newpaper ad asking them not to shut them down, citing costs in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, not to mention the wages of hard working Americans. And this is to prove what exactly??

That they're just a bunch of dumb fucks?

OWS only cares about the next party. That's all these protests are, big pot infused, destructive parties.

The unions joined them last month. Let's see how they like it this month.

Rebels without a clue... :doubt:

Well, great job to "Occupy Oakland"!

Live coverage: 10:19 a.m.: Demonstrators declare victory, leave port - Inside Bay Area

10:08 a.m.: Protesters begin to disassemble

Protestors announce that the morning shift of workers was sent home at Port of Oakland. They declare victory and start to disassemble.
Success! Some poor longshoremen just lost several hours pay. Who's side is "Occupy" on again?
Obviously longshoremen are now the 1%. :cuckoo:

I think OWS may have bitten off more than they can chew with the unions. They aren't going to just pepper spray the bums away.

Well, looks like OWS just went full retard and killed any support I would have given them.

Everyone knows you never go full retard.

I'm seeing the politicians stepping away from the OWS movement, also.
It served their purpose and now it's time to throw them under the bus, ala Cindi Sheehan.

At least Cindy had a consistent message, War Bad, George Bush is an asshole, bring the troops home.... etc...etc...

OWS has some vague hatred of banks, captialism, and other crap, no focus, and now loss of support of organized labor.
