Just heard a report that a US f15 had a malfunction and crashed in Libya. Crew ejected. So now we have 2 sets of boots on the ground, and no doubt a rescue crew going in.

wow nice fauxrage...
How about just. I hope they are ok and leave it at that you pathetic excuse of a partisan

Fuax Rage? I'm not raging at all. Just think it was silly of Obama to promise no boots on the ground, and act like no Americans would be at risk, when clearly they are.

You might want to look in the mirror before you start calling me a Partisan. Where is your out rage? Or do you reserve that for Wars started by Republicans only?

lol

They've been rescued.

Awesome good news indeed.

They only reason I even posted this, is because it brings to light the dangerous game Obama is playing. Trying to pass this thing off as a 0 Threat war. He basically said no Americans would be in harms way when this started, when it is pretty clear that is not the case.

Did you ever seriously EVER thing that there would be no boots in the ground in this thing?

stop being retarded

Grow up kid.

You accused me of having Faux rage when I have no rage at all.

In fact I support fully what Obama is doing, though I do have some questions about his end game. (are we going to remove Qaddafi or not)

I do think it is pretty funny that Obama just did exactly what he called unconstitutional when Bush did it (attacking another country with out Congressional Approval) But that just means he is a hippocrate, I already knew that, so no rage here.

Well yes and no.

Personally I think it can not succeed with out boots on the ground, But I sure remember Obama saying in no un certain terms that there would be no US boots on the ground, and basically trying to sell this as a risk free war for our troops and pilots.

now once again our credibility is on the line. IMO if this thing ends with Qaddafi still in power. It will once again make us look weak and ineffective. I genuinely hope Obama has what it takes to be in this to win it.

And Obama has said too many conflicting things. He isn't (Nor has he ever been) consistant...

Publicly declaring our strategy to the world and our enemy was not very brilliant.
Bet ya a dollar we have a few boots on the ground already.

Of course, Many of the precision guided bombs were dropping rely on Special Forces on the ground painting the target.

Like I said, Obama is playing a dangerous game here. Not to mention playing rather fast and loose with the facts.

Were used to presidents doing that, but then most presidents don't run their entire campaign on the premise that they will change things, be transparent and different.

But one must assume that the leaders we elect will get outta campaign mode...Obama has been stuck on it since he was Immacculated. (He never left campaign mode).

They may regret not killing Qadaffi when they had the chance.

We will see, but the goal is now "regime change."

That could change by Friday, but it is where we are today.

Well that depends on who you ask. Obama was very careful with his words. Notice he said Removing Qaddafi was US policy, but then pointed out it was not the goal of this UN action.

Very mixed signals.

IMO this entire affair is pointless unless you are going to capture or Kill the Man. How can you defend the Libyan people if you are not willing to take out the person you are defending them from?

Yeah, that's pretty much my point. If he goes "on the lam" and the coalition falls apart (it seems to be already unraveling a bit), it could drag out for a long time, or we could wind up pissing off even the rebels.

I've never believed in war with caution. You fight to win, and you win by killing. When the target is a ruthless dictator, your first strike should be a Tomahawk right down his throat.

But this action is not about Qadaffi, or he would already be dead.

its not unconstitutional, he has 90 days before he has to get congress approval.

keep it up at failing

One of the biggest Socialist/Statists/Leftists in the Congress would tend to disagree with you...

'No boots on the ground' means no ground troops will be sent in. That may change. Who knows? But equating two downed pilots with "boots on the ground' is just ridiculous.:lol::lol:
