So Mitt is in the same tax bracket as Buffet but Mitt is bad and Buffet is good

So you're argument is that since Mitt is apparently greedier than Buffet, and doesn't think he should pay more in taxes despite the evidence that tax cuts are what drove the deficits, that makes him morally superior somehow?

You conservatives shouldn't be so hard on Socialism. Hell you socialized the costs of 30 years your tax cuts for the rich, buy shoving the debt incurred as a result on the rest of us.

Seems to me, you conservatives like socialism just fine.

There is no "cost" to the taxpayer for tax cuts, dipshit. Only parasites look at tax cuts as a "cost."

Hey dipshit, if tax cuts contribute to deficits and increases in the public debt, then there is indeed a cost to taxpayers, in the form of interest paid on the debt. Actually, since our country already has so much debt, any tax cut will necessarily incur a cost to the tax payer, because at the very least it will delay the repayment of that debt, thus costing even more interest.

Funny how things come full circle. They both pay the same rate basically but since Buffet cries about it he gets a pass? Have I got this right? Can I rob my neighbor as long as I condemn it while I do it?

Buffet says this system is not fair and should be changed....that makes Buffet good

Romney says I like this system the way it is and i should keep paying the same rate.....that makes Romney bad

WTF is the problem with people on here? I didn't say any of that shit. Maybe you should try reading the lines rather than in between them.

Since when is it "robbing your neighbor" to having them pay their fair share?

The rich paid over 90% top tax rate under that pinko commie Eisenhower, but now that the rich have seen their tax rate DROP by 2/3rds, suddenly asking that much of them is THEFT?

When you don't tax the rich and cut spending to match it, it drives up our NATIONAL DEBT, which is owed by ALL of us. THAT'S SOCIALIZING the COSTS of your tax cuts for the rich on the backs of EVERYONE ELSE. Don't deny the IRREFUTABLE consequences of your positions, just because you don't LIKE them. We've had enough of that already.

There is that fair share thingy again.
Say it properly...dont regurgitate what the president says.

It should be said this way...

Yes, the wealthiest Americans pay the bulk of the revenue coming into the federal government. They most certainly pay more than the lions share....more than their fair share. But we certainly cant turn to the poor to help with the deficit...and to turn to middle class Americans during eceonomic times like these will most certainly put many households underwater....So I am asking the wealthiest Americans to understand the dilemma we are in and recognize that we have no other place to turn than to them...and ask that they temporarily pay more as we find other solutions to minimize our spending...

His problem was that he said that those that have actual dollars going into the federal government are not paying their fair share while IMPLYING that those that dont have actual dollars going into the federal government ARE paying their fair share.

It was a childish approach and resulted in a debate that is a waste of time.

The reason why the richest Americans pay the BULK of the taxes? THEY MAKE THE MOST OF THE MONEY!

I'm CONSTANTLY amazed at how conservatives give the rich a pass for paying the most in taxes, when they make the most income.

Spin...

Better said...

Buffet says the syetmen needs an adjustment...that means Buffet agrees with those that feel the wealthier Americans need to pay more taxes

Romney says the system does not need an adjustment for it will have a negative affect on the job creators...that means Romney feels that the problem is spending, not revenue and any increase in taxes will have an adverse affect on employment

TO say one is good and one is bad is childish.

Link please. LINK PLEASE.

I've NEVER heard Mitt speak of taxes on a personal term. Like most of us on the right he believes taxes should not be raised on ANYONE.

Suggestion....when you quote someone...actually address the quote.

I did not question why the rich pay more in taxes.....and I did not give anyone a pass.

I simply showed anyone who has good reading comprehension skills how the "fair share" thing was an inaccurate and childish approach by Obama

We don't give them a pass, we give them credit for their contribution. Where as the left just condemns them for being greedy.

Posting instead of working again?

No wonder your business is "failing".

Can you whine about your business failing as long as you do nothing to save it?

Buffet is a big fat hypocrite. He can pay more taxes if he wants to pay more- the treasury will accept his check. He needs to lead by example, or shut the fuck up.

Personally, I minimize my taxes at every opportunity possible and in every legally available way. I have no remorse or guilt about it. The government spends too much, they don't need more money, they need to cut spending.

I also think that Buffett doesn't look forward to firing people as much as Willard does.

Again, Grumps is taking one characteristic and trying to broaden it to give it some sort of meaning it doesn't have. Hitler crossed the street one time. Does that make all who are crossing the street Nazis? Apparently for Grumps it does just that.

that's only true if your characterization is as dishonest and messed up as yours is.

no one cares that people are rich. everyone would like to be rich.

buffet says that the tax code should tax passive income the same way it taxes employment income.

i don't think romney said that. it was romney's response about him "not making much money" for his speaking engagements that messed him up...

i mean really, on what planet is $400,000 "not much money"?

he hurt himself badly with that one, i think. it was up there with daddy bush not knowing what a supermarket scanner was.

Not paying your taxes isn't patriotic. If anything, it's ANTI-PATRIOTIC. It's putting YOUR PERSONAL GREED ahead of the prosperity of your country. Is that what George Washington did?

Don't be surprised if one day your country treats you same way you want to treat it.

fraud.png

Tax FRAUD amounts to more than the entire cost of the MEDICARE program. Is that patriotic? Keeping a few dollars in your pocket while granny can't afford her blood pressure pills?

Oh and spending as a percentage of GDP under Obama is lower than it was under Reagan, Bush Sr and Bush Jr.

But don't let empirical evidence slow down your rant. Keep going full retard speed ahead!
Why don't you tell us how tax cuts for the rich actually GROW revenues? Or how tax cuts for the rich create jobs? I'm sure you have just as much data to back up THOSE contentions as you did with your previous ones.

It's inaccurate and childish by anyone, including you. There is no such thing as a "fair" share, and even if there was, it should be the last thing on our minds. All that matters is practical tax and spending policies that provide the greatest opportunity as possible for people to achieve a decent living.

Whoa...he pays his taxes. He cuts them legally. Props to him. No props to you.

I am not the one who used the term "fair share"

Obama did.

I made it quite clear that fair share was an inaccurate and childish term to use...

Yet for some reason you felt the need to pin it on me.

Well...if that makes you feel good go for it.

But you are acting as childish as our President.

Actually, one of our justices, i think it was potter stewart, but could be wrong, said it was every american's oblgation to pay the least amount legally possible under the tax code.

If there's a problem with the tax code, that is another issue and should be addressed. I don't fault him for paying the lawful rate on passive income.

Once again....you are dispalying very poor reading comprehension skills.

Zander made it quite clear that he pays his taxes using all of the tools afforded to him BY THE LAW to keep that burden as little as possible.

You know...like Buffet has been doing.

LEARN TO COMPREHEND What you read.

Oh, so you never said this:

Yes, the wealthiest Americans pay the bulk of the revenue coming into the federal government. They most certainly pay more than the lions share....more than their fair share.

According to you, Obama is wrong to say that they are not paying their fair share, but would be right to say they are paying more than their fair share. In other words, you're still advocating that the argument should be about "fair" share. You claim it's childish, yet you advocate still invoking it. You're right about one thing. It's childish. Nobody should be even asking whether people are paying their "fair" share. It's a childish notion, BOTH ways.

LOL. You poor asses. The differance is that Mitt thinks he pays too much, and Buffet thinks that he pays too little. But go ahead and kiss the asses of the 1%. Maybe they will throw you a dime.
