So I Am in The Grocery Story Today.........(wow)

If there is a "super-hero" (ie. a god, an overlord, a dear leader, an authoritarian, etc.) involved somewhere within their dogma, it is someone's religion (be it christian, jewish, muslim, communism, capitalism, socialism, citizen, rebel, etc.). And, all of it is simply programming.

You are whatever you have allowed yourself to be programmed to be. I prefer however to not be programmed to be as others would want me to be. I am unprogrammed and free to think my own thoughts and beliefs . .. and it's so cool. More should try it.

Which, amazingly, sounds like everyone else who says they aren't programmed.

So you lied? To a minister?

Is it more wrong to lie to a minister than to anyone else?

We shouldnt be lying to anyone. Especially not: God, ourselves, our spouses, and our children.

Keeping in mind that Mr. H doesn't lie. Asking a question does not, perforce, entitle you to an answer. Not even if the person asking is a man of the cloth.

Many christians don't recognize Catholicism as Christian as the Catholics think salvation and forgiveness can come via intermediaries. It doesn't matter, it was a rude thing for her to say.
True...I pray to Jesus, Mary can't help you.

Im not Catholic. But I know that if I asked one of my Catholic friends to pray for me, it would help me. Because God looks at the intent of the heart. Even though I pray to the Father, in the name of Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

God is not conservative according to some christina religions. He is progressive.
Many things that would send me to hell 30 years ago are now fine in the very same church.
Then that church has lost its way. If you haven't been saved in the last thirty years, and still are not, then if you die you are still going to hell. A church that does not teach Christian principals set forth in the Bible is not a true Church.

I've always thought the Lutherans, Catholics, and Episcopalians should duke this issue out. LOL! Can't tell the difference between their services, prayers, songs, etc. The differences that I know of are the Pope and transubstantiation, but actually had an Episcopal minister say that's not as true as it seems. Didn't know what she meant. OTOH since she was a minister, there's another difference. ;)

Catholics have some of the most beautiful and ornate churches.

We do.... I defy anyone to come up with something as stunning as the Vatican.

Give me alot of money and a few years.

Oh I don't quibble over whether Catholics are Christian are not, that's between them and God...

I'm just saying why people claim they aren't.

There is no reason to quibble in the first place. They are Christian, else Protestant/Evangelical Christianity has undermined their own claim to be Christian. How exactly do you reform a non-Christian Church into a Christian one? Either Catholics are Christian, or Protestants are not as well.

That sounds like quibbling, lol.
I don't worry about it. If they accept Christ as the risen son of God, then I imagine they're saved....
