So, How Come You're Still A Leftie?

First of all. You will never eliminate crime. EVER. Thats a pipedream. I live in the city and rarely have had crime in our area. You know why? Community programs.

Thats right horrible socialist community programs. You know why these work? Because people then have a sense of pride in their community. I am obtaining my MBA. I know the conservative agenda. Get out of paying taxes. Well businesses rarely do anything for the community. Yeah you have the restaurants that you can sign up an have a fundraiser night and get 10% of the profits. YEAH!!! What what? I spend 5 dollars and maybe give a dime to the fundraiser I am supporting? Yeah for profit?

C'mon man. I have seen the benefits of actually supporting the community. We had a Moonlight hoops league every tuesday and thursday here in town and I volunteered as a coach. I would coach the kids on the weekends and we would show an interest in their life. The kids come by and watch NBA games and tell me about what they see. What happened to their Dads and how the women in their lives are trying to keep them on the right track. But I live in Kansas City and the school system isn't great and I see some of the kids scared to come out because of the fear of being beat up and for some, shot.

And what do I see on the ballot? Prop A that "let's voters decide" basically its a way to get the rich out of paying more taxes in the City, putting the tax burden on people who don't have the money. Which means reduce revenues, cops laid off, community programs disappear and our society drifts further and further into chaos. See we believe that government is an essential part of society. Without it, Chaos begins.

The tea party also has alot of crazy people in it and that makes me go even further to the left.

Shouldn’t we expect to see the cities that have had long-term Democrat governance as being utopias?

You seem to have the tail wagging the dog

The decline of our cities has been going on since the end of WWII. The primary reason was socioeconomic as transportation networks expanded and more workers moved to the suburbs for their American dreams. The increasing access to automobiles, less reliance on public transportation for workers, cheaper land and labor outside the cities all combined to lead to a migration from the cities.

To blame it all on Democratic mayors show that Political Chic is just being deceptive

Exactly how are your community programs "socialist"?

Exactly how are your community programs "socialist"?

The very word "commune" is socialist. Any gathering of the people for a common goal is probably socialism. Capitalism is about individualism, regression, and isolation, despite a common goal to be tax free, and quite the opposite of socialism.

You might wanna go look up the word "socialism", because it doesn't mean what you apparently think it does.

Feed them to the ones who have homes?

Hmmm, not a half-bad idea. How about we place these homeless children into households making over $500,000. annually. That way it is in the "best interest of the child." Then we will give the families a small tax credit, as their reward.

But...but...then there won't be any more liberals!

Socialism is a stage of socio-economic development following the failure of capitalism and the rise in the consciousness of the proletariat. It is marked by the unequal distribution of capital, the growing role central planning in the economy, the attempt to curb capitalism and prevent the rise of oligopolies and monopolies, and the increasing socialization of resources...

How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin.

The fact of the matter is that America is a socialist nation. The FF envisioned it as such; despite the Liberal rhetoric, Paine's Agrarian Justice and Jefferson's comments on tariffs only effecting the rich show us that they knew Liberalism was doomed to failure.

Yeah, I know what socialism means. Apparently you are having trouble seeing it in America? Notice that word collective? Do you know what that word means?? To gather, like in community, or commune.

Definition of SOCIALISM
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

this is just one reason why i do not look forward to Republicans being in control, again.

Poison Pill - Barbara T. Dreyfuss

I don't think any politician can be trusted, but i trust republicans less.

I suppose that's how many of us choose, 'who is the lesser of 2 evils', or who do we trust/believe more, for various reasons?

sure there are ideological reasons as well...but none of the ''people's' ideology ever really pans out the way they want or how the politician 'said' they would anyway....not on either side of the aisle....the conservatives aren't really conservative and the liberals aren't really liberal.
