It's been a very slow trudge. The stock market was fed by the Fed. Job growth has not nearly been matched by wage growth. Productivity is down.

Both ends can point the finger at the other, but the fact remains this has been subdued at best, and we're teetering on a recession as we speak. Maybe 40% chance.

Really your misunderstanding of the situation is astonishing. Or at least you have grossly misspoken. First of all the lower prices are not a tax cut, gasoline is still taxed at the same rate. Matter of fact if use goes up tax revenue will increase.

Second. While I enjoy the lower gasoline prices it indicates an economy in decline. A world economy in decline. It will and has lead to oil industry job loses. That is not good.

Thirdly. You cherry pick your job loss stats. Yes, jobs loss happen due to the housing bubble breaking. It was predicted and happened and Bush and Congress, which was democrat, didn't do a thing. Bush because he wasn't a dictator and Congress because, in my opinion, they wanted it to happen to ensure a democrat victory for the WH. That or they are just plain stupid.

Fourthly. Even with the drop housing prices the price went where it should have been without the bubble. All the 1 percenters that the left hates were bailed out by Obama and the left is stone silent. Their bailout was bought with the treasure of your children and your grand children. That bubble of debt is still out there waiting to burst.
