Snowpocalypse Russia: 'Snow tsunami' swallows streets, cars, buildings

2nd pic from the top looks like it's 10 feet deep.

How in the hell can you do anything like drive, go to a store, get medical attention, fuel oil

poor people

Looks like a drift...I have seen drifts 5+ times as high as the actual amount of snowfall. Heck, I have seen a 15' drift from 8" of snow!

Some of y'all seem to think the OP put this topic in Politics because he doesn't know the difference between weather and climate. I'd like to think he's not that stupid.

I'd like to... he makes it difficult.

Of course, nobody in this country except Alaska got a winter last year and might not get one this year while Australia bakes in record heat, yet these seem to have evaded Finger-boy's always-rapt attention, while the shiny objects of snowflakes in Russia (of all places) impresses him.

Hmm. You guys could be right about the OP.

We just got our first real storm after a long dry summer and no real winter last year. The farmers are going broke, selling their cattle way too early. Don't worry though because the big businesses are buying out the family farms for pennies on the dollar and then over-charging the consumer for the product.

Its the GObP way.

Shows just how wrong this weather is - around the entire world.
Let's see. It's winter and the north is covered with snow.

Yeah....freaky.

No, its not. That's the whole point. There is almost no snow in the north because its the warmest year on record.

And, look at the Russian storm. How long are we going to keep calling these "freak storms"?

One word: white.

That white stuff is snow you fucking lunatic

Sure it is, but isn't it normal to have that much snow up north in January? The Russian example does seem extreme but not unique.

sweetie.............let me clue you in on some reality from Realville.

Environmental nutters like you have been throwing bombs for well over a decade and what has it gotten you?

DICK

You know when there MIGHT be some significant public policy action on reduction of carbon emmissions? When Alaska experiences 3 consecutive weeks of 60 degrres + in mid-January, and not a moment sooner.
