Smoking, Trans fats, and terrorists

Right. That is why I opposed the ban. Unnecessary intrusion on the free market. But not a violation of my constitutional rights. And while I've already conceded the point that "technically" any government regulation can be classified as an infringement on personal freedoms, this one doesn't come close to meeting any materiality threshold of the reasonably sane...IMO.

well, "IMO" seems to be the mitigating factor here. It sure as hell isn't facts.

If you get in the way of a BUSINESS trying to facilitate a LEGAL PRODUCT being used on their property, while not being at all forced into said establishment no less, then yes.. you are impeding the liberty of your fellow American. which, pretty much makes you a worthless pink lunger fuck that illustrates and validates the worst case-caricatures of left leaning politics.

oh yea!

yearly drunk driving fatalities, malpractice and PROJECTED ESTIMATES are all on par with each other in the "public risk" department!

I tellya, there is a fucking SCOURGE of dead bartenders falling out with cancer! If we don't protect those darn smokers from themselves then WHO ELSE WILL DO IT?!?!?

pink lungers deserve a kick in the teeth. Like I've said, no one drags your pussy ass into a smokey bar so shut the fuck up and make better choices when deciding where to spend your dollars. We smokers will do the same and laugh when your kind are stick scratching their heads as to why banning tobacco products leads to decreased patronage.

Your selective reading comprehension is growing threadbare. For the third time, I oppose the ban.

Just a thought, maybe he's a Progressive. They are usually the ones that wish to make laws to protect you from yourself. Not liberals.

this would be like splitting hairs on weather or not Bush was a neocon or a liberal republican. At the end of the day, they are still mired in my side of the spectrum and are about as worthwhile to have in your corner as fred phelps at a military wake.

So that's your whole beef? If smoking was outlawed completely instead, you'd be fine with it.

I bow to your superior gift for logic and reason.

Your shoddy reading comprehension is showing again.

For the fourth time, I OPPOSE THE BAN!

There is no worthwhile argument against the Ninth Amendment. Or at least I've never heard one.

I do find it interesting that you'd be so pissed off about your freedom to kick back in a smokey bar being taken away, regardless of whether it's for the greater good, but also argue in favor of taking one person's money to pay for another's healthcare because it is for the greater good. Your hypocrisy is mind-numbing. You are no liberal, you're a self-serving socialist who smokes.

Silly me... I'm one of those "Liberty is the greater good" types instead of one of those "Hey, I can tell you how to live life better than you can do it for yourself" bastards. GREATER GOOD? that's an opinion statement. I happen to think that it's "greater good" for you to mind your own fucking business and choose non-smoky places to frequent.

As far as your opinion of my political identity.. That and 50 cents will buy you a coke from a vending machine. Last I recall, TAXATION has always been a prerequisite to ANY form of government. It's too bad that people like you would mistake the dominance of a dictator with the options of democracy.

Indeed, it just breaks my heart that you don't approve.

I know, maybe shit talking will provide enough subterfuge to keep readers from seeing your ass being handed to you.

You have absolutely no idea what a hypocritical cock smooch you really are. Damn that's funny.

Eagerly awaiting your next ad hominem attacking me for my ad hominems!

and your logic machine is broken down and leaving it's guts all over the side of the road. You should probably be calling people hypocrites for appreciating the Ninth Amendment while fathoming taxes after posting your rancor for those who can't see the benevolence of a smoking ban... while, uh, opposing the smoking ban.

or something.

wash those hands, Pilate. Your particular slice of the liberal pie tastes like god hating fags.

What, is it hypocritical to respond in kind after the sum total of your input has been shit talking? Gosh, thats almost like calling a cop with a gun the same thing we call a criminal with a gun! You ARE a cranial master, lemme tellya..

It's clear that I left you sputtering after bitch slapping you with the Ninth. go wash your face and comb the dirt out of your hair and lets see if you want to come back for another tango.

I already conceded that technically it is.

thats right you conceded...

It must suck to have to admit that the Ninth doesn't express merely the importance of habeas corpus. Hell, I bet calling someone a hypocrite will change that.

Not at all. Idealogically, I love the Ninth Amendment. But it's been systematically destroyed by precedent, as has the Tenth. And yes, I place a considerably higher value on preserving 1 thru 8 than I do in clinging to some anachronistic ideal that the 9th and 10th still have any teeth.

thankfully, this is a nation that is not waiting with baited breath to find out what you consider the more important liberties granted by the Constitution. Indeed, it conveys a staggering ignorance as to the purpose of the Ninth in general by suggesting that any other enumerated right is "more important" than any others.

Hey, I bet if you call me a dickhead this won't be as true.

Your education and intellgence obviously outstrip your wisdom by an order of magnitude at least. Perhaps one day it will catch up.

Go ahead, keep your head in the sand. It's probably nice and comfy anyway.

I guess I missed it since you equate something that only affects the people engaging in it and those that choose to be around them with dropping your pants and spreading cholera.

NOt to mention having no direct comparison since he doesnt own the corner of main st and broadway, or have a stake in the success thereof, as any given business owner that wants to create patronage among those who partake of a legal substance.

I'll make sure to add your approval to my wall of achievements!
