Here is an article penned by Michael Smerconsih......a guy who is trying to champion a new era of talk radio.....which responds to the growing numbers of independent Americans.

Listeners to his show will recognize these themes well....as he has commented similarly dozens of times. The guy is a former HW Bush political "operative" and goes to great lengths to be respectful of all pouts of view. This upsets his conservative audience members a great deal....as you will certainly understand if you read the comments section of any of his works on the subject.

It's a quick read.....have a look.

Calmes cites a Pew Research poll from October 2014 that found that, more than any other group, "consistent conservatives" rely on one source for information about government and politics: 47 percent cited Fox News.

Seriously though, Smerconish is right in his analysis. The GOP is suffering from a serious inflammation of extremist-rightwingitis.

And yes, the far right media is calling the shots and aggravating this condition for its' own financial benefit. They vilify any politician with an R in front of his name for daring to even sound normal and rational, let alone suggest a compromise.

I will make a prediction here. If Kasich starts emerging as a potential primary winner the screeching heads on Hate AM will turn on him and set the rabid dogs loose to tear him down.
