A Fredericksburg man was sentenced to four months in prison Feb. 22 for having sex with his 17-year-old Yorkshire terrier.

Jason Willis Sanborn, 35, was ordered to serve five years with four years and eight months suspended in Fredericksburg Circuit Court after pleading guilty in December to bestiality.

The dog, named Buddy, was placed into a new home but died just over a week later.
