There has been some information appearing that suggests that Travon's visit to the convenience store wasn't just to satisfy a sweet tooth. While this would not justify his death, it may add to the context of the ensuing altercation with Zimmerman. It would also undermine his image as an innocent child walking home from the candy store.

Does anyone know if this information is accurate?

According to Martin's own social media postings, it is. He admits to using "lean", a drug that is known to cause paranoia and aggressiveness.

Not a convenient fact for the Traybaggers I understand...

And know I read that his father was a Crip? What has our country come to?

Does not really matter to be honest. Z was innocent of murder by way of self-defense. The verdict is in; the evidence backs it up all over the place. Anything extra will not get through to those that have already decided based on partisan ideology and anti-gun activism. They have already ignored the real and relevant data; what makes you think that they care about anything further. You could have a tape of the entire incident and it still would be meaningless.

Starbursts are much tastier than Skittles.

Just sayin'.

Skittles when mixed with the watermelon drink and Robitussin cough syrup is the recipe for lean. Martin's liver showed some damage that is typical with the use of this drug. It is used to get a "codeine" high but has serious side effects which include aggressive behavior, paranoia, and liver damage.

The poor black boy probably was a victim of lies though.... (sarcasm)

Let it go. The issue was settled by the jury.

There was a jury that decided what Skittles are used for?

"Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar."

Just because it is possible that there is a deeper purpose doesn't mean it isn't just an innocent purchase.

There is no proof either way, so we should assume Martin simply wanted to eat skittles and drink watermelon juice drink.

When the judgement of self defense was entered.
You can't defend yourself unless you feel your life or limb is threatened.
If you knew anything about the laws of self defense you would know that.

You see, in order to carry a concealed weapon in Oregon you have to go through a class that teaches those things.
