Columbine was in full swing.
I remember it clearly, I had to go to the dentist and was on my way back and heard it on the radio. I immediately started sending all my good hopes for the kids and teachers in the school and returned to work as quickly as possible.
At work I spoke to my Manager and informed her of the situation and how clearly bad it was. There may be parents here, they should be informed.
The boys stopped before any officer entered the building and long before they ran out of ammunition, one killed the other then himself. I can't help but think people's prayers and good will made the difference between even a larger massacre taking place on that day. Bombs didn't go off, the propane tank wouldn't explode, diversionary bombs in the park and parking lot never went off as planned....
