We will be doing a server migration in 2 hours. I expect the site to be down for a little less than an hour. In addition, the search index will be down after that for a couple of hours to rebuild. So downtime of 1 hour and maintenance following that of roughly 2 hours.

Works for me.

I'll be going to play poker in 2 hours and that always takes about 5 hours more after we get started.

Nothing like waiting for peak hours...

Peak hours is 4pm.... the traffic at 3am and 9pm is exactly the same. I have the analytics data, so this isn't just speculation....

I will update this thread 10 minutes before shutting down and after it is completed. Still have time before it is ready.

Will this make the board more able to process all the trillions of "triggered" comments and "snowflake" remarks? ;)

So from six-core 1366 to 4-core Ivy?

Hmm, I'm not so keen on that.

Six-core 1366 with hyperthreading myrtleizes quadcore Ivy Bridge.

I'll get back witcha on that later, provided I don't get banned. :)

So, what is the new server?

2x Intel Xeon CPU E5-2609 v2 @ 2.5GHz, 64GB RAM and a couple 15k RPM Savvio HD's.
Just curious, why so light on the amount of RAM?

64GB is plenty. 15k RPM platters? What year is this?

2017, amiright?

Should be 4 m.2 drives in RAID 10

What is it I'm running? Some kinda Devil's Canyon chip @ 4.4 GHz.

It still chugs along,so there's that.

You volunteering to pay for more? I can set that up if you'd like.
