This site has never been 'secure', as in https, since I've been a member. It is something that is being looked into though.

As far as logging you out, I don't know what to tell you. It isn't doing that to me.

Might be the browser, I have found that Chrome works best with this site for me.

Also many anti virus programs can do this as well.
