I did see your statistics, rainn didn't have rape rates by year, so I went by DOJ, yes it's only 40,000 households but if you truly get a random sample I don't think you need much more than that for an accurate picture (I forget the exact formula for this).

Great article- It is true about kids being "coached" for testimony.. There definitely needs to be more research done about that, before even allowing children under a certain age to testify.
Of course, this "research" does not represent the majority of how frequent a child is asked this question, or even interrogated, and also does not do a very good job with accounting for how much "other side" coaching could be happening as well..

Nevertheless, the coaching, training, or conditioning of children to answer questions in a certain way over time is absolutely despicable, and I am sure, grounds for misconduct which could also lead to getting disbarred, so I really doubt that this happens as much in a legal setting as it may have used to happen. At least, I really hope it doesnt..
But I do realize that this might happen in the parent-child discussions, when the parent tries to get information regarding something suspicious, and especially in cases of paranoid schizophrenics, obviously.. however few and far between those might be, even..
