Signs from the TEA Party Protest

Remember boys and girls, the Bush/Hitler references were wrong. However, due to the fact that Obama is a "Socialist", the references are now okay! :eusa_eh:

On a serious note, got to love the doublethink on things like that. Orwell would be so proud.

It's doubleplusgood.

desperation does not look good on you demoncwats.. that's just a heads up.

They came unarmed THIS TIME? What's that supposed to mean?

Use your imagination. First black president + a bunch of angry right wing nutjobs = .....

It's a very scary prospect and I certainly hope the Secret Service does a good job -- but they need to be right 100% of the time... all one of these loons needs to be right is 1 time.

Another race card. You have anything else? At all?

It's not the left that's threatening armed revolt because they lost an election.

that's right. The left threatened a revolution if their guy didn't win the nomination. hypocrite

I don't remember anyone carrying around semi-automatic guns and threatening the government with weapons. What I do remember is a bunch of people threatening to leave for Canada and/or Europe.

Really? That's an interesting accusation.

Perhaps you'd like to provide us with a link to a major officeholder or host of a prime time television show on "the left" that "threatened a revolution if their guy didn't win the nomination".

We can wait.

I'm sorry, but if you don't think that race has anything to do with it - especially while taking into account right wing rednecks, then you're naive. Hanging out with my ex in his old neighborhood of Monroe Louisiana taught me enough about poor white trash right wingers' "philosophy". It was 2006 and they were openly calling African Americans '*******' and threatening to shoot them 'black bastards' if they ever dared to come 'round their neighborhood. Especially the dude called the 'Marlboro man' that carried a shotgun with him everywhere in case them dirty '*******' wanted to have a way with his wife. I shit you not. These are among the people protesting, dear. I'm sure not everyone - probably not even the majority - of the protesters care about President Obama's ethnic background, but I'm 100% sure that there is a sizable 'community' of stupid ass fucktards like the above who would pay to lynch him. So please, stop denying reality.

Yeah.

did you see someone with an automatic weapon threatening the government? Did you call the authorities? How long will he be in prison?

James Carville Hints at Riots If Obama Loses Election

By P.J. Gladnick

In last night’s post-debate analysis on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, James Carville proclaimed that Barack Obama will be the slam dunk winner of the election in November. However, he followed up by hinting at riots if Obama were to lose. Here is the transcript of the discussion. First David Gergen keeps bringing up the race factor as an excuse for a possible Obama loss (emphasis mine):

[...]

Okay, stand by for Carville’s suggestion of riots if Obama loses:

CARVILLE: Let me be clear, I said you can call the dogs and light the fire and leave the house. I think it sounds over.

Now let me be clear here, if Obama goes in this race with a 5- point lead and losing this election, the consequences are—bull, man. I mean I don’t think that’s going to happen, but I think David it’s a point to bring up.

But you stop and contemplate this country if Obama goes in and he has a consistent five point lead and loses the election, it would be very, very, very dramatic out there.

“Very, very, very dramatic out there” if Obama loses the election? That sure sounds like Carville is predicting riots.

So david were there any signs that you noticed that didn't fit your premise that it is only racist white right wing nutters at the protests?

Just saying......you sound like msnbc with your OP.

That they are full of shit. Anyone who takes up arms against the constitution will be crushed by the federal Army in short order. This isn't 1861 where the average citizen could match the firepower of the average Infantryman. Add to it that the tea baggers are untrained and mostly out of shape, and their guns are useless tools.

Has anyone on this board ever tired to take a tank out? It's pretty fucking hard. I had to do it for a training exercise with lasers/receptors. It took the tank about 5 minutes to breach my wife/mines and lay waste to my entire platoon.

And that was just a training excercise.

Never underestimate the power of a resistance movement, especially since the 'federal army' will most likely have members of the resistance movement in their ranks. Let's hope it never comes to this, but if the government stops listening to the citizens you essentially have fascism. When that happens, you can either choose to live with it or fight.
The government did precious little listening to the citizens after the war in Iraq started to go so badly! The government didn't listen when the people called for the war in Vietnam to stop. It took two elections, the deaths of student protesters and Walter Cronkite to get the government's attention then.

The problem the teabaggers have is they won't accept the election of Barack Obama. We didn't hear a peep out of them while Bush bailed out the banks last autumn. We didn't hear one tea bag protest as Bush raised the federal deficit. Or when Reagan ran up federal debt.

But, let a democrat, a black democrat do the same damn thing and suddenly the trailer parks are alive with tea baggers threatening armed resistance.

Hypocrisy is spelled with "Y" at both ends.

1. When are "riots" tantamount to large scale revolution.

2. Carville didn't say anything about riots, or revolution.

3. Carville didn't "Call for" anything of the kind to occur, he just offered his opinion that bad things might go down if the appearance of impropriety occurred in the election.

Now that's what I call scare and intimidation tactics, sorry won't work with me or my family. He's gonna lose and lose big.
