I don’t think I agree with you. In many cases, the President’s Executive Orders chart the course on policy long after they leave office. The Order barring Political Assassinations, the Emancipation Proclamation, and many others are recognized as pivotal in History. No new laws, no finding of the Supreme Court. Just the order of the President.

There are roughly 300 million people in this nation. If there are 3 million illegal aliens, that is one percent of the population. If there are 6 million, 2%. And so on. How many must we have before it is an emergency? People don’t want to deal with the elephant, or at most demand it be called a pachyderm instead. Semantics instead of actual discussion.

1. MOST of Trumps executive orders were put in to...……..gasp......reverse Obama's executive orders, ergo...…...his executive order was put in to REVERSE an executive order, reinstituting the state of what was decided by congress.

2. Maybe you mean emergency decree instead? Well let me explain---------->the use of money under emergency decree will NOT even go into force until AFTER the 2020 election, at which point if the House flips again, it won't even be needed.

Why is that, what do I mean?

Trump ASKED for 5.7 billion, and got 1.3 of it; BUT under his powers as Commander and Chief that do NOT encompass Executive Order, he was able to TRANSFER enough money to bring that number to 5.3 billion, only 400 million short of what he asked for. It will take around 2 years to build 5.4 BILLION worth of wall, and by that time, 2020 will have happened.

Therefore, neither executive order, NOR emergency decree authorization, will have anything to do with the 5.4 billion in wall/physical barrier going up between now and then.
