Maybe I gave the indication I never had a pet fish in my life. I know yada yada plants and rocks. Actually I picked some sort of floating moss out of a wild pond and put it in with him. It turned milky for a while and finally stabilized with a nice green patch and he sits in it sometimes but when I'm on the computer he is on the screen side apparently watching the screen for approaching predators and possible mates.
