Shouldn't The House Be Working On The Economy?

Suddenly, after 3.5 years, the left give a shit about the economy. Now, that is funny.

They passed the stimulus, fought for extension of unemployment, fought for tax breaks for workers, fought for payroll tax breaks fighting for college student, teachers, police and firefighters. And many other things they have done for the economy.

Fighting for Union perks, and College students helps the Taxpayer's how exactly?

So very little to 'help the economy,' then, like repeal Obamacare.

I go down the list and I'm almost tempted to say that they have taken care of the Democrat base...

And yet they have submitted to the Senate 2 dozen bills ON THE SUBJECT. And what did the Senate do.... NOTHING, they refused to even send to committee a single bill. So who is trying to work on the problem? The House? Which passed 2 dozen bills? Or the Senate that refused to even LOOK at one of them?

They can submit as many bills as they want... They all say the same damn thing:

Remove regulations that protect the public, and lower taxes on the rich and corporations.

Neither of which would have any effect, except to make corporations and the rich more money that won't go to paying down the deficit.

That is, when they're not trying to prevent women from having access to health care.

Obama said the stimulus would help the economy. I wish someone would have tabled that thing.

I posted a link to a thread I've started with recent key votes.

Which ones fit your definition?
HR or SB number will suffice.

.

I think most people know that the GOP in the House has sent 20+ bills designed to stimulate the economy in different ways. A Democrat doesn't need to agree with the bills, NO one does for that matter, but the fact remains the bills have been sent.

Perhaps the question should have been posed more appropriately, like "Shouldn't the Republicans in the House be working on the economy in a way that I and other liberals agree with?"...

Something like that.

That would be a much more fair question, in all honesty.

Both parties are submitting Bills that only aim to satisfy their own kind.

That's where a LEADING President comes in, though, Mac.
He promised to 'work across the aisle' but I've only seen one Beer Summit and that was just a CYA-kind of move to glaze over his fuck up for speaking before his brain was fully engaged.

In all fairness, Obama is a wonderful speaker and a great rally-er.
I'd like to see him use his talents as a Community Organizer to line up the House and Senate behind him because of common goals rather than party lockstep.

You lie. Then again, you are a Liberal.

if the economy is as bad as they say they should be working on the economy. Not this sideshow.

they cant work on the economy with liberal socialists unless they want to make it worse. The huge and only stimulus the economy needs is BO's blessed defeat.

The fact is House republicans have no idea what to do, they have no ‘solutions,’ they’re utterly clueless. They attempt only to appease their base with irrelevant partisan nonsense.

You're wrong, they know exactly what they are doing. They want ignorant sheeple to use as cannon fodder in future wars. They want to support companies that send jobs to China. They want to abolish the EPA because clean air and clean water are expensive. It's not like they're hiding it. In fact, they have been very vocal.

What, and ruin their reputations as a bunch of drunk slugs?

Actually Republicans make perfect sense and are not slugs. If you disagree please say why. Thanks
What specific bills were passed by congress and sent to the senate that would HELP the economy???
And yes, ed, I do disagree. decreasing federal income taxes and decreasing gov spending has never helped the economy. If you disagree, I ask you again, when did it happen. Reagan increased taxes 11 times to help the economy his tax decreases tanked. Bush I raised taxes to help stimulate a bad economy. Bush II decreased taxes en route to the worst economy since the great depression. Clinton raised taxes and we had the best economy in the past 30 years (and ended with a surplus, for christ sake)
Where is your proof, ed. Or are you, as I believe, just a tea bagging tool?

....instead of this political witch hunt sideshow.

Economy doing fine or Republicans don't care?

For a Guy named Truthseeker you sure seem to lie a lot.

Can you name them and what is it they would do?
