Should we have our own version of the "no confidence" vote?

your dreams
In Parliamentary systems, they have this thing called a vote of no confidence for the existing government. It's often done daily as a formality and the majority in power will almost always vote to keep the current government. But every once in a while, the motion passes and this triggers a full re-election for all parliamentary seats (which of course includes the prime minister).

Can you imagine having something similar here in the US? And if it passed, every single congressional seat (house & senate) and the presidency would be up for grabs in a special election?

Thoughts?

OH NOES! A BLACK MAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE! WE SHOULD THROW OUR DEMOCRACY AWAY, IGNORE EVERYONE WHO VOTED, THROW THE NATION IN DISARRAY- WE MUST GET THE ****** OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111111

We already have a means in place if you think he's broken the law- it's called impeachment.

I'm not talking about just the prez

I'm talking about all of Congress too. And they'd be the ones voting on it.

Yeah, they're gonna vote to oust themselves

Why all the talk of insurrection, revolt, secession, and the like ever since the first black guy became president?

Not...try going back to 2001 when there were all the libtard fucks saying they were moving to Canada, were calling for Bush's assassination, threatening revolution if Bush suspended the elections....

It has happened in parliamentary systems.

If the congressman believes he will win his state/district, it's not really a big risk.

Wrong retard....it's racist...as in what you are.

Confidence veto requires party loyalty. In parliamentary democracies it is usually used as political tool to regain power.

However. With a fuck up system we have we'd have to teach democrats and republicans to vote along party lines first.

Group Fail! :(

You guys let me down. Where the hell is Dante when he's needed anyway?

This idea is terrible because:

It would seriously undermine the separation of powers. Unlike a parliamentary system, we can actually have a different party in the white house than the majority in Congress. With something like this in place, that would never last because when it does happen, the majority in Congress would just vote no confidence and kick the other party's president out.
