Should Republicans, like Huckabee be using God as a political "tool"?

Huckabee knows his audience does not want seperation of the Church and the State.

As long as it's their church in the State.

It would help you if you actually knew what it meant before saying something that stupid..............
We don't have a problem with this....as it means that the states will NOT designate a certain religion be followed. The state will not tell us we MUST be Catholic, or must be protestant, or must be muslim, or must be buddist. It has NOTHING to do with keeping religion out. All people can worship and follow whatever religion they want and the state can't change that.

:clap2:

See, Dems can only imagine that we're EXACTLY like them. When Obama says something, it's from the Messiah. When he messes up, they pull out the Obama Context Filter.

They can't even conceive of people holding differing opinions

What really pisses me off about this is you guys are making me defend Huckabee. Im not exactly a big fan of his.

So point to him with pride when what he says makes sense and bash him when it doesn't. Everybody here would benefit from being a little more critical of the speech and less critical of the speaker.

Rdean is a "tool" in general.

Are you people serious?

Speaking about a mass shooting in Aurora, Colo. over the summer, the former GOP presidential candidate claimed that such violent episodes were a function of a nation suffering from the removal of religion from the public sphere.
Quite sure he's not talking about Zeus or Vishnu-Krishna. A politician wanting their religion worshipped in public places, especially forced on children is not seperation of Chuch and State.

I dont care for Huckabee, but maybe you should actually look what he said and try to understand why he might think that those whining about where was God are hypocrites when they are the ones who have been fighting tooth and nail for Him to be out of our lives.

Don't stop there. Explain what he said.

That people shouldn't cry out "Where's God?" when they have done everything they can to remove God from their lives. God gives us free will. If we don't want Him in our lives, He tends to give us what we want.
