Political confessions: A mistake to admit mistakes?

"But, even more important, is the fact that nothing matters more in this election than the economy. Owning up to smaller missteps such as these won’t really matter like they did in Lindsay’s day. This time around, the big issue is the economy and why it isn’t improving. But Obama can’t possibly admit any real economic mistakes or it could spell political suicide."

And yet Obama's solution for the economy is more of the same. More stimulus, more regulation (to make sure the little guy gets his "fair shot"), and more demands for increased federal revenue (to make sure everyone is paying their as yet undefined "fair share").

I believe he's already commented about not knowing the depth of the problem etc etc.

I think he's made plenty of mistakes, although the economy is low on my list. I also don't think admitting mistakes would really hurt him, if done correctly it makes him seem more down to earth.

Should he? yes. Im sure he should.

Will he? Well that would be unlikely. His hubris wont let him.
