The majority of gun murder in this country is not committed by mass public shooters.....it is committed by career criminals who cannot legally buy, own or carry guns.

So...in 2016 there were 11,004 gun murders.....that means the real problem are criminals going about their business, not mass shooters.

Who is supplying the majority of guns to these criminals, who can't buy guns because they are criminals?

Girlfriends, Mothers, and grand mothers......who have clean records and can buy the guns either willingly or under threat of violence from the gangs ......

So...to "Save one life"....should we ban gun sales to minority women...the likely straw buyers for criminals?

That "licensing" thing? Why do you support it? Felons can't buy, own or carry guns, so they obviously can't get a license...... and if you charge a fee for a license you are in violation of the Constitution since Poll Taxes for the exercise of a Right are unConstitutional. Add to that, we don't need to license people.... if you are stopped by the police and you have a gun, they can simply run you name through their data base to see if you are a felon, if you are, they arrest you, if you aren't they let you go...we can already do that without more paperwork.....

so.....What's up with licensing gun ownership?

And Registration.....do you understand that criminals do not have to register their illegal guns? The Supreme Court ruled in Haynes v United States that it violates a criminals Right against self incrimination....so why would law abiding citizens need to register their legal guns?

In the most strict cities with the toughest gun laws are where much of the murders with criminals using guns occurs. They obtain guns illegally on the street, steal them, etc. So measures that the law abiding will follow won't work for criminals.

Tested for what? That they conform to the State's profile of an "approved citizen?"
Checked for what? That they don't have a violent or criminal history? They already are and the vast majority of shooters already DON'T have a criminal history.
Licensed for what? The point of a CCW is to carry concealed, not just the mere owning of the gun. The Constitution guarantees you that.

Instead of focusing on the individual for blame, all these individual random people don't all come to the same behavior disorder by accident. Maybe we ought to start taking a closer look at those who run our society as the fault? The people who perpetually try to tell us how to think, live, grow up, work, set education guidelines, societal and television guidelines.
