Chicago is home to some 70,000 Polish illegal immigrants, second only to the city's undocumented Mexican population.

The decision to leave Chicago after more than two decades is one Latasiewicz didn't want to make. But as an undocumented, uninsured immigrant, she is ineligible for public aid and has needed expensive medical care since she suffered a stroke in 2009.

Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital spent $1.3 million caring for Latasiewicz, but she couldn't live in the west suburban hospital forever. The hospital arranged for her care in Poland under a deal approved by a Cook County judge last week.

Latasiewicz's struggle to find a permanent, appropriate place that would care for her long-term medical needs in the United States was featured in the Tribune in September.

Latasiewicz, 60, arrived in Chicago in 1990 using a temporary visa, which she overstayed.

Batshit Boy the racist bigot was hoping someone would say "no" so he could finish touching himself.

All established illegals should just be made citizens. Far cheaper than deporting them. Transient ones at greater risk for being criminals opr otherwise undesireable could be deported. But if you have a job, a home, vehicle, etc. move the goal line and declare victory.

Are you nuts? If I was Polish I'd want to get the eff outta here and go home.

Poland sounds like a dream compared to what this place is becoming. Who wouldn't want to live in Poland? They've got about the same GDP as Missouri.

I'd get out now before the ponzi scheme in Chicago collapses. lol

You would need around 8,200.03zł (2,426.91$) in Warsaw to maintain the same standard of life that you can have with 4,500.00$ in Chicago, IL (assuming you rent in both cities). This calculation uses our Consumer Prices Including Rent Index.

Yeah and bring their extended families. Mothers, fathers, grandparents, and put them on Social Security....you're a moron :cuckoo:

No. There has to be some illegal group to balance out the Mexicans getting a free ride. :p

But in all seriousness, yes, especially if they have broken the law or are a major expense on social programs.

That's a new one. How did 70,000 polish criminals enter the US?

Is it alleged that Canada aided illegal Europeans to gain entry to the US? How could undocumented Europeans bypass US border crossings?
Same way some US states get rid of their homeless, dump them on the border or look the other way.
