Should Florida lost their franchise (yeah, the entire state)?

What if the 2012 election had really come down to FL? Would we again see mobs of D's and R's in the streets yelling hooray for our side? How long until violence would intrude on such a fiasco and spread to civilized areas of our nation?

The real question is not disenfranchisement, but why this happens? Is it intentional or incompetence at the highest level?
