Demonstration: The 'f*** protest' outside Shoreditch High Street station

Ahead of the event, which was promoted on social media, The F*** Parade called on people to "Stand up to gentrification!"

Writing on Facebook, a spokesman for the group said: "Our communities are being ripped apart - by Russian oligarchs, Saudi Sheiks, Israeli scumbag property developers, Texan oil-money twats and our own home-grown Eton toffs.

"Local authorities are coining it in, in a short sighted race for cash by "regenerating" social housing.

"Soon this City will be an unrecognisable, bland, yuppie infested wasteland with no room for normal (and not so normal) people like us.

"London is our home and worth defending against this onslaught of dog-eat-dog economics. Working class people are being forced out of our homes but we won't go out without a fight.

"We will protest this economic warfare with a street party."

Cereal Café Owner Goes Head To Head With Protester

This is the moment that the owner of the Cereal Killer café took on a member of the anti-gentrification protest group that attacked his business this weekend.


Alan Keary confronted the protestor about why his business was targeted when upmarket businesses in the vicinity were left unscathed.

“You’re attacking a small business when there is way bigger problem,” Keary told Steve Topple, supporter of protest group Class War.

“There are luxury flats going up around Shoreditch and we are the ones being attacked for it.”
