NYC's Heroin How-To Handbook Not A Hit | NBC New York
Love how NYC spends those tax dollars.
Remember this one when they tell you that they'll have to cut police, fire and EMS if they don't raise taxes.
It's the lesser of two evils.
how much more money does it cost to provide medical care because they contracted hepatitis and HIV from sharing needles?
let's tell them to 'just say no', eh?
They are criminals. We don't use taxpayer dollars to tell liquor store robbers how to shoot the clerk in the leg so they don't get charged with murder.
Teaching people how to do illegal things the "right way" condones the behavior. If they want to kill themselves, so be it. One less junkie robbing a liquor store.
They already know how to do it. It's just showing them how to do it as safely as is possible considering what they're doing. It's cheaper to pay for pamphlets, clean water, ties and needles than it is paying for hep and aids drugs.
maybe it shouldn't be illegal to be an addict?
just because you want to "punish" them, doesn't mean we shouldn't lower the societal cost to the extent possible.
i do so love that pretend "compassionate conservatism".
You know, it might just be time to rethink, or even start to think for the first time, about the nation's drug laws...?
I never knew there was a right way to do heroin.
