Wonder if the terrorists are Mormons ?
That it makes international headlines when a gun crime is committed only amplifies it's rarity...everywhere but here. Clearly they are doing something right in the area of gun safety and we are doing something wrong.

Lovely is right. The place was full of tourists. Why anyone would visit France with its boatload of death cult followers is beyond me.
Its like vising Mexico with the murderous cartels killing thousands.

So...
France is still under special police power provisions...to guard against terrorism....
Guns are illegal in France. ( Do we know it it was the typical AK-47, fully automatic military rifle, yet?)
Grenades are illegal in France.
The guy was a convicted felon.
The guy was on the Governments terrorist watch list.
He was still able to get at least one gun, and several grenades.
France is still under special police power provisions...to guard against terrorism....

In France, civilians are not allowed to possess weapons of war, certain handguns and long guns, automatic firearms, firearms disguised as other objects, and armour-piercing, incendiary and expanding ammunition1

You are making a false assumption that gun control impacts the gun murder rate....since criminals have illegal guns, that means ...they have guns....wether they choose to use them to commit murder is a completely different topic ......since their gun control laws are not keeping guns out of the hands of criminals and terrorists.

France is awash in illegal guns.....the fully automatic military rifle is the preferred weapon of the criminals in France......what part of that do you not understand.....? Their criminals do not commit murder with those guns, but the main point.....they have the guns....despite their strict, extreme, gun control...
