Shooting at Sikh Temple

Just curious has anyone tried to blame the Tea Party yet?

Ive already seen the media attempt to blame Michelle Bachmann. No idea why.

Because the daft cow spouts hate and this may be a right wing hate crime.
no, an especially thick right wing hate crime as the shooter didn't appear to have a brain.

RIP to the dead and best wishes to all in hospital.
Especially the hero cop who, after being shot several times, managed to fire back and down the gunman. :salute:

Keep in mind, he's one of the "Public Sector Workers" that Walker thinks makes too much money.

Considering ABC's track record on jumping the gun about the Colorado shooter & editing sound bites about Zimmerman, I'll wait until I get a better source then rely on what their anonymous "sources" "believe".

Actually, it's NBC that editted the tape... not that it was the conspiracy you jokers made it out to be.

The suspect is a White guy in his 40's..

No, ABC did it too.

Meanwhile, ABC News manufactured a “scoop” last week by releasing edited video from the Sanford Police Department, ostensibly “proving” that Zimmerman didn’t have any visible injuries. Since Zimmerman claims to have been physically assaulted by Trayvon Martin, a lack of injuries would do some damage to his story.

But ABC not only failed to remind its readers that Zimmerman was treated by paramedics at the scene of Martin’s death – a well-established hard fact documented in police reports. They also used an on-screen graphic to obscure Zimmerman’s head at a crucial moment in their “big scoop” video clip. Without this graphic, viewers can see a rather large gash on the back of Zimmerman’s head, which is totally consistent with his story, and completely destroys the action line for ABC’s “reporting.” The video loudly touted as showing no injuries did, in fact, depict what appears to be a significant injury.

Should be fun watching the left construct strawmen around a "right wing extremist".

Given Rob is a white, balding bloke with a 9/11 tattoo, there may be something in suggesting he could be a far right wing terrorists.

Think happy thoughts.
He may turn out to be a Muslim convert yet.
Hold your breath for the confirmation.:eusa_angel:

Sorry, he's just a murderer or possibly a terrorist murderer. There is no political agenda of right or left that has murder in its platform. Like I said, bring in the strawmen.

This is just an odd coincidence, but it might have been a mental "trigger" to a person of fragile emotional make up. The shooter (Michael Page) in the past two weeks moved to an apartment on "Holmes" Avenue across the street from an earlier residence after breaking up with his girlfriend.

It was two weeks ago, July 20, when James Holmes shot up the theater in Aurora, Colorado.

Page was discharged with a less than honorable discharge. Was there any indication then that he was unbalanced?

Once Holmes dropped out of school, his doctor (who knew he was dangerous) did nothing further. Once Page was discharged did those who also knew he was dangerous do nothing further?

Hasn't Page been out of the service since 1998? also why did he target Sikhs? did he think they were Muslims?

Presumably since he was in the service he was aware of the difference. Although, yes it is very common for Sikhs to be taken for muslims. I like Sikhs. They are a very nice and peaceful people. Although not always. In the late 1800s the British Army had a regiment of Sikhs that were among the fiercest fighters.

We have a couple of Sikh families in my complex. I don't know how long they will stay, maybe a few weeks or so but they are very friendly people.

Well I wouldn't be so sure about that, you would think Military service would teach you the difference but the Military has their share of idiots. Plus this guy got out in 1998 before all this war on terror stuff so there wasn't as much focus on Muslims like it is now. I also met a few Sikhs and they are a good people, they didn't deserve this.

It is the religious obligation of every male Sikh to be ready to defend the faith at all times. They all are required to wear a knife, called a kirpan, under their clothing. So, every man there was "armed". Looks like they'll have to change from knife to glock if they intend to defend the faith.

Yeah knives aren't going to get it done on this side of the pond, may want to switch to rifles.

Good point! Why do you think the press brought up military service in the first place?

Oh they always do, the press loves talking about Vets who go ape shit and kill people. The unemployment rate for Veterans is 13 %, after reading stories like this potential employers get scared off.

My god your stupidity has no end.

The shooter being a skin head means they have supported either political party at their convenience, They have gone back and forth. Many supported Kerry during his run.....

Thanks again for letting us know thinking is a future strength you some day hope to posses.

Wade Michael Page, military veteran, identified as Sikh temple shooter - The Washington Post

The man who allegedly shot and killed six people inside a Sikh temple south of Milwaukee on Sunday was a military veteran from a neighboring community, Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards said Monday morning.

In a news conference, Edwards identified him as Wade Michael Page, 40, a six-year Army enlistee. A senior law enforcement official said Page rose to the rank of sergeant before being demoted to specialist and leaving the military in 1998.

...

Earlier, Edwards said police were investigating reports that the shooter, who was white, may have harbored extreme racial views. And the Southern Poverty Law Center reported on its Web site that Page was “a frustrated neo-Nazi who had been the leader of a racist white-power band” called “End Apathy.”

He was a psychological operations analyst in the Army. His discharge reflected the fact that he had gotten in some trouble, like DUIs, and for whatever other reasons we don't know about, but he was dishonorably discharged in 1998 for “patterns of misconduct,” (a Pentagon official told CNN). A Dishonerable discharge is given to an enlisted man only after a general court martial, and "for reprehensible conduct."

" The Southern Poverty Law Center, a group that has studied hate crimes for decades, says on its website that Page was a frustrated neo-Nazi who had been the leader of a racist white-power (music) band known as End Apathy "

Who are the folks who go around calling every body else sheep and sheeple which are the epitomy of the apathetic they might like to end? I suspect he was part of the paranoid community that sees a conspiracy and a one world government as just around the corner because it fits their paranoid outlook, so the exotic nature of the Sikh temple and it's members might have been a big factor.

To me it just looks like he was a very messed up individual.
