Well now, seems there are problems with those with 'pre-existing' conditions being able to afford the new stuff. Shocker!

WI enrollment in Obama health care insurance off to slow start

MADISON (WKOW) -- New data suggests the centerpiece of President Obama's health care overhaul is off to a slow start.

Far fewer people have signed up for the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan than expected.

It's the part of the health care overhaul designed to protect people whose medical problems have made them uninsurable.

In Wisconsin, fewer than 300 people have applied for the coverage, and there's funding budgeted for about 8,000 in the program.

Other states like Texas and California have seen similarly slow enrollment figures.

Among the reasons for the slow start: premiums may be out of reach. In many states, people in their 40s and 50s face monthly premiums ranging from $400 to $600 and higher.

Federal officials say they expect more people will sign up.

To learn more and to apply for the coverage, go to www.pcip.gov.

What? It's not 'free?' Nope, not possible. So, we end up with socialism norm, the majority is forced into sub par, without a corollary effect from those without coverage. We all lose.

Now who is surprised?

I suspect we will now see a newly invented Insurance Saved or Created statistic from the Obama Administration. They will start counting people who already have insurance for certain conditions as being SAVED by ObamaCare.

So what's your solution? Put it back how it was so NONE of those people get insurance?

My guess is that the majority of the folks who didn't want this bullshit law shoved down their throats by a "I could care less about what you want Congress" won't be too surprised either. The Democrats will get their surprise on election day next month.

Shocked that something that is the result of so much "compromise" will not work properly?

The republican leadership has said that's their objective.
