Here is what I say when the left getting overly gitty about Obama leading in the polls. We have a long way to go. Many things can happen big and small.

(1) See who wins in the debates. If the primaries told us anything debates matter. Cain rised because of how he debated. Gingrich got some life from it also. Perry and Bachmann feel from grace based on how they debated.

VP Bump. Usually they are insignificant, but sometimes they matter. Palin actually hurt in the long, but a Condi Rice or Rubio could give a significant bump.

Economy. Faux unemployment has been treading down (most because people have stopped looking, but it will have an impact. If it somehow got under 7%, there will be no stopping Obama. Oil prices. Poverty levels, food stamp levels. All have an impact!

Obama Lawsuits. Obama has two major lawsuits at the moment. The AZ & AL illegal immigration lawsuits and the Obanationcare lawsuit. Both look to go against him. That will be a significant blow whether the left wants to acknowledge it or not. If he some how wins, that will be a major bump.

Rasmussen's polls are based on the preposterous premise that there are more registered Republicans than Democrats.

Rasmussen typically polls likely voters and they have been one of the most accurate pollsters out there. If you have evidence of the contrary feel free to offer it.

Way to early and many things can and will happen. Most individual state polling data has Obama leading in electoral votes, until that data becomes clearer, national polls really won't matter.

The only poll that will matter will be the polls the voters use to cast their votes on election day.

I'm laughing here because some other polls claim Obama is ahead and the left take them seriously. Rasmussen and Gallup are generally more reliable, yet now that they show Romney in the lead, the left says it was a bad day in polling or it's too soon to call it.
