Sherbrooke will use surveillance cameras

I was hoping you'd bring up blackmail. So you're saying that if for example a conservative politician was noticed to be viewing gay porn it could be used against him even though it's not an illegal activity? Is this basically right or am I missing something?

yes..or being seen in the wrong company of the wrong person or group...freedoms are easy to lose but not so easy to restore..and with every compromise we accept the more that will be taken

Thanks for staying on point, I appreciate it, it's pretty rare around here.

Ok, my point about this is that if I've elected a conservative politician to represent my interests and it turns out his anti-gay stance was just a smoke screen, I still want him to resign. I don't care so much about humiliating him, I just want him gone. Because even though what he was doing was perfectly legal he was still being dishonest to me.

This is why I say this isn't a big deal. Don't do anything you shouldn't be caught doing and you'll be a-ok. I don't think people should just follow laws and whatever else they can get away with is fine, I think there should be more ethics and morality. I wish people would just do the right thing because they wanted to, but until then I can accept "fear of discovery" as the next best thing.
