Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden welcomed a healthy baby boy in the early morning hours of what some are calling one of the luckiest days of the year.
That's the good news.
Because lucky in names, this baby is not.
Richie and Madden dubbed the little lad... wait for it...
Sparrow James Midnight Madden.
Sparrow? Like from the "Pirates" movies? That works in a Disney flick with Johnny Depp, but not in real life!
They couldn't even give him a tough bird name, like Hawk?
And we're not even getting into Midnight as a middle name.
The couple, together since 2006 ,made the birth announcement on Richie's Web site Wednesday. The baby weighed in at 7 lbs, 14 oz.
It is the second child for Madden and Richie, whose daughter Harlow is 19 months old.
Wait - I think we get it - Sparrow makes Harlow sound normal!
And they kind of rhyme!
We're sorry - we're probably making too much of this. He's healthy, they're happy, that's all that really matters.
