Shades Of The 787 Billion Stimulus That Wasn't

1. Government workers don't pay taxes?

2. Private sector businesses don't work on infrastructure projects?

3. There was 51 billion in business tax credits in the stimulus.

4. Much of the 27 billion in 'green' energy investment went to private companies.

btw, the GOP alternative to Obama's 800 billion dollar stimulus was a 700 billion dollar stimulus that only differed in its percentage of tax cuts vs. spending.

My question still remains the same, Carbineer...what gave the Obama Administration the right to support public sector jobs while ignoring private sector jobs? The infrastructure projects were a joke. So were the tax credits. As for the "green" energy spending? Why does it seem to be that so much of that investment went to people who had supported Barack Obama financially rather than those that had a viable business plan?

And saying that the GOP plan differed only in it's percentage of tax cuts vs. spending is like saying that black is like white except for the difference in their coloring.

You just said the tax credits were a joke, so the GOP version of the stimulus would have been a bigger joke, by your own measure.

I said that the Obama tax credits were a joke. You're giving small businesses a tax credit if they hire new people? Tax credits are great if you're actually turning a profit. It let's you keep some of that money. If you're struggling to keep the doors open and have been operating at a loss then a tax credit like that does ZERO to induce you to hire additional people. Barack Obama and the rest of the idiots who currently operate in the White House would know this if they'd ever run a business...but they haven't and therefore don't have a clue about what actually WILL make businesses hire.
