Smuggle them to whom? If the parents are participating in trafficking then it's still trafficking. If the parents accompany their children, then it isn't trafficking. A DNA test would sift them out. And as another poster said last page, it would also tell us who are repeat-offenders trying to gain entrance back into the country.

Well when it comes to protecting children from going insane from hideous abuses in trafficking, no expense can be spared. Also, the cheap test at the border for repeat-offenders trying to re-enter beats the costs of just fingerprinting arrestees once in the US; let alone the costs of housing them, transporting them etc. back to the border so they can just waltz right back in under a sea of lookalike anonymity.
