Some liberals are very bright, and some are not.

They care about unethical questions, like who has more than I do, and what can I do to make him unhappy like me.

And of course, some are compassionate but short sighted. They see that some folks suffer because they are self centered and egotistical, and they wish to ameliorate the Karmic damage that arises from that kind of behavior, usually at the expense of those who don't misbehave. They feel for the grashopper who played all summer long, and have no sympathy for the ant who sweated it out. So many of the "bright" liberals become "scientists" or "college professors". Probably why we are the world leaders in science and education.

Oops, except for one thing, PEW research didn't "throw craps". They actually did "real" research. Republicans see "research" the same as "throwing craps". Because they believe education and science are "crap".

A measly 6% of scientists are Republicans. When the majority believe in "magical creation", when a full quarter believe Obama is the "anti-Christ", when they believe teachers are overpaid, why on earth, would anyone believe it could be MORE than 6%? In fact, I suspect if the percentage were skewed, it was in the wrong direction. I'm sure it could only be 2 or 3% MAX.

Buddy, capitalism is fairly simple. I sell things, you buy them. There are a few economists who explain it in more words. Things like if an item a lot of folks want is in low supply expect its price to go up.

Delayed spending value loss is rather complicated and potentially a point I disagree with but not because I don't understand the effects of inflation on money you have hidden in a sock under your mattress. I just feel the possession of that money frees you from equally costly potential debt causing expenses. Think of it as you must be able to pay your insurance deductible instantly, that $500, $1000 is best NOT tied up in slow to cash out investments.

Regardless, what would you like anyone to type back at you about capitalism?
