So. Cal, Malibu!
Now, we all know that Obama has some serious baggage at this point. The two most heavy pieces of luggage being Van Jones and ACORN. This CANNOT be disputed, although you Obamabots will spin and deflect until the cows come home on this issue.
Besides the GOP candidates and eventual nominee, it is HILLARY who is going to benefit most from Obama's baggage.
Why you say?
Well, two reasons. Number one being, Hillary and Obama can't stand each other. This also cannot be disputed. Number two, Hillary and William Jethro still feel an entitlement is due them to occupy the oval office.
Hillary WILL run again, and she still has many in the DNC in her corner. She's still very popular among a large number of dem's and independents, particularly women.
Now, Hillary is sitting back right now thinking, "i'm just going to sit back, do my job, and keep my mouth shut. I've got this incompetent SOB right where I want him." William Jethro is thinking the same exact thing.
Factor in the GOP candidates, along with Hillary and William Jethro, and it becomes quite clear that Obama is nothing more than a one term failure.
Any thoughts?

My thoughts exactly.

However....not Van Jones and Acorn.......his inability to properly vet in general is his baggage.

He had numerous cabinet picks fall by the wasteside due to issues...and just wait and see what happens with his Czars now that the republicans grew some balls.

The problems of his inexperience is obvious. He may have ruined it for any future candidate that tries for the throne before his time.

Yes!...add in his third piece of baggage. Both he and his administrations clear inability to properly vett.
Great point!

I agree, Hillary certainly can't wait until 2016 to run, I wouldn't doubt that she took the Secretary Of State job to stay within the inner circle and take notes. She will be Barry's worst nightmare come 2011.:lol::lol:

Great point!

If I debated him last year...when he answered the issue of Ayers by saying..

"many people, even prominant people that supported Reagan, worked with Ayers, so what is wrong with me working with him"....

I would have looked at the camera and said...

"true...but they are not asking America to trust them to make major policy decisions that will affect all citizens....you are."

And that would have been the demise of Obama.

In 2011, the one(s) campaigning against him will now throw in:

Ayers
Wright
Rezko
Acorn
Van Jones
and the list will grow as the czars are investigated.

Good thing for Obama that there isn't a presidential election in this country in 2011...

You can also add Rasheed Kalidi and Obama's own admission of his admiration of the writings and teachings of fabian socialist George Bernard Shaw to the list.
Also, his statement about his picks for "personnel" defining his policy, MUST be added to the list.

You're right, but, the election cycle will be in full swing by 2011. The candidates will have been declared, and the cycle kicks in. Do some homework, you just might learn something!

Or, you know, you could just admit you screwed up when writing the thread title.

People who are truly interested in campaigns and want to be educated voters know when the actual campaign starts.

Others, like yourself I assume, simply believe the campaign begins summer 2012...you know...when the debates are on.

Wasn't Reverand Wright supposed to cost him the election?

As for the rest, Hillary will NOT challenge Obama in 2012, though she probably will run in 2016 and lose. Challenging an incumbent President from inside the party and winning is pretty much unheard of even if it is clear the incumbent is in trouble, which is not the case for Obama at this point. 2012 is still a little less than 2.5 years away.

As for the GOP, who is the candidate? Palin? McCain couldn't even carry Indiana with her on the ticket. Jindal? I'm curious who the great GOP hope is because right now there's no one in the field that looks likely to flip even one of the states that voted for Obama, even if the election were held today.

Right now, Obama is sitting pretty well. Now Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi ought to start worrying about their jobs. Even if the Democrats hold both Houses in 2010, I think those two are due for a fall from leadership.

All I know is that GOP won't have a chance....it will be between the Dems and maybe an Independent.

I don't think many will vote for Hilary for she is part of the administration therefore part of the problem. I wouldn't vote for her and if she does run, she'll lose to any other person running against her. America wants to throw them all out. Not another Clinton, not another Bush.

I'm sitting here on a beautiful afternoon three years out from the next presidential election and a year out from congressional races. Clearly, I'm someone who follows this constantly.

The Republicans, the Conservatives and the Right Wingers are truly desperate indeed.

Having grandiose imaginations of what will and won't happen in the 2011/12 campaign and what's not.

Although they don't. stand a chance.

CLASSIC!!!

I'm curious who the great GOP hope is because right now

GOP tends to favor candidates who've run before and lost - Reagan, Bush Sr, Dole, McCain all won nomination 2nd time around, not 1st. Bush Jr would have had a lot more problems if he didn't have name recognition. I expect Romney will get it in 2012.

...And that would have been the demise of Obama.

Folks kept saying that in 2008, and he still won by a margin that was historic. Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, Savage et all screamed about Wright from the roof tops to their large crowds of Conservatives, the true majority (at least in their world). Many state GOP parties ran ads about wright. CNN, Fox, and even MSNBC talked about him.

Who won in 2008?

Face it folks, the average voter did not care about Wright, did not care about his association to Obama, and is even likely to care LESS about this issue in 2012. If Wright is all the GOP has, then it doesn't matter if they run Palin and Reagan's magical love child. They will still lose.

2012 is likely to be about issues, just like 2008 was. If the GOP doesn't have a plan to address those issues better than they did in 2008, they might as well stay home and let a third party have a shot at the big game.
