Serious Question...Beck's Rally was a Charity Event, Right?

Well I still don't know if it was a charity event or not.

I didn't think it was.

It wasn't. Originally it was for the "Soldiers", but Beck had to change the "Title". The reason was because Beck, who makes barely 32 million dollars a year, wanted his expenses and services fully paid.

So it went from a charity event for the soldiers to a funded even for "God". The money that was "raised" was when it was still a "charity" event.

No one really expects Beck or Sean Hannity or anyone from Fox to actually help people. They just don't swing that way.

Why are Liberal so upset when Conservative raise money for the troops?

Are they still angry that the troops got funded in the first place?

Serious Question: Why did Pelosi and Obama vote to cut funding to the troops in the heat of combat and why are Progressives so nasty and bitter that Hannity, Rush and Beck contribute to the families of soldiers?

Assuming it was a Charity event, what charities are benefiting? How was money collected? (admission, donation, items for sale, pledges) and how much WAS collected?

TIA

(and if it wasn't a charity event...nevermind)

Yes... it was for Special Operations Warrior Foundation

Special Operations Warrior Foundation

They collected over 5 million.

There was an auction going on for a few months now to auction off lots of cool stuff.... part went to put on event and pay for permits yada yada.... but all the profits went to SWOF.

Lets hope he didnt pull a hannity..

What hannity did was just horrible, but not surprising.

Read my link. It says everything about republicans and charities.

Seriously, read it.

In fact, less than 20%–and in two recent years, less than 7% and 4%, respectively–of the money raised by Freedom Alliance went to these causes, while millions of dollars went to expenses, including consultants and apparently to ferry the Hannity posse of family and friends in high style. And, despite Hannity’s statements to the contrary on his nationally syndicated radio show, few of the children of fallen soldiers got more than $1,000-$2,000, with apparently none getting more than $6,000, while Freedom Alliance appears to have spent tens of thousands of dollars for private planes. Moreover, despite written assurances to donors that all money raised would go directly to scholarships for kids of the fallen heroes and not to expenses, has begun charging expenses of nearly $500,000 to give out just over $800,000 in scholarships.

Oh and I really would like to see how much was actually given to any kind of soldiers or their family's.

Comments on Hannity being a scam artist for the "troops"?

Wow, someone struck a nerve. Could it be that you finally realized that Hannity used American soldiers to make a buck? And then left a "pittance" for their children? If that scam hadn't been uncovered, those kids would have gotten a LOT less. Even you have to know that.

Socialist.

Let freedom ring my ass.

What happens when you call a Progressive out on their lie?

Why they keep right on lying!

It's like breathing to them.

Liberals still cant get over that the USA and ISF defeated the people they were rooting for: the Iraqi Insurgents so they spew they venom toward the children of fallen soldiers.

It's really so sick.

I still want to know how many people showed up for Sharptons racebaiting liberal whinefest. The LMSM doesn't seem to want to mention it.

One thing is for sure, ol' MLK was lookin' down at Sharpton's fiasco and shaking his head as to what a douchebag amateur of a reverend Sharpton's fully proven to be.

LMAO!

How very odd since it's the LMSM and all....:eusa_whistle:

No wonder the left is such a fucking mess. They're apparently all stupid.

Nice generalization.

That was kind of my point.... although possibly a tad obscure.... People constantly judge a group by the words of an individual. Bod... along with a variety of others... constantly does it... so therefore it follows that it is fine for everyone to judge others by the idiocy of one.

I said the same thing about 9/11...ther cant be 1.5 billion extermists out there. If there were, we wold all be fucked. Seriouly. Great post. Now open your little mind when you say things about those three black panthers (in a black neighborhood by the way, so who the hell did they intimidate?) Think about that when you think of a number for a percentage of 1.5 billion that are extremists.

Great post.

He would have been so proud of Beck though..I mean MLK was for social justice...completly for it, but beck said if you are for social justice, you are unamerican.

Oh yeah. this makes sense.

Mice try.

Beck is a Mormon, which means he contributes more to charity than you make in a year. I don't like Mormons much, but I know they are more likely to help me if I need it than any liberal I ever met.
