The reason you dont see Republicans lecturing people and saying go green is because its not in their best interest to offend their "Investors" or their "Lobbyists" Why say "GO Green" when the companies giving you "Donations" will be negatively effected?

This is a very uniformed comment. All of the large energy companies are doing a great deal of research in alternative energies because they know that there is a lot of demand for them - and that diversifying their energy products is just plain GOOD BUSINESS.

Its all about consumerism, if you boil it down, how many hours does someone have to work to buy an LCD TV? is the enjoyment you get from a TV worth 40, 80, 120 hours of your life? no one thinks in those terms, its strange to say the least. But that is how people are living their lives, if they stopped they may be able to see what a sad state of affairs the world around them is in.

it is ok.... if all the electricity he burns is green, it has no impact on the environment. period. he could have an electric bill that was ten times as big as it is now, and if he paid the exorbitant premium to ensure that all of it was green, it would not harm the environment one bit. that is how the electicity distribution system works.

you don't know how the electricity market operates, obviously. I do. It is my business. If Gore overconsumes, then the incentive is there for more green energy generators to come on line. In fact, shy of any tax subsidies from the government, that is the ONLY incentive green generators have.... that, and rising oil prices, that is.

1st April Cold Weather Warning issued

The Cold Weather Warning issued last night was the first issued in April since its introduction in 1999. The Hong Kong Observatory said the temperature recorded this morning was the 18th lowest in April since records began in 1885.

Under the influence of a replenishment of the northeast monsoon and rain, the weather today was cold with the morning temperature dropping to 12.3 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures will gradually rise in the next couple of days. The weather will remain cloudy with a few rain patches during the Ching Ming Festival and the Easter holidays.

Its Climate change, which means extreme weather conditions, Im sorry you memorized the wrong "Branding" of the issue.
But Climate Change means the climate "changes" which not only means it gets "hotter" than usual, it also gets "colder" than usual.


I bet if you looked, you would see that there were some irregularly high temps in the North west?
Maybe some high pressure zones went up there and forced the cold down to the south east?
