Today I received an e-mail from Senator Bill Nelson, the kind that tells you what a great guy he is and what a wonderful job he is doing (SIC)

This was in response to his e-mail telling us what a great job he did for us, by getting seniors a $250 grant if they went over the max and hit the donut hole. I have friends that go over it each year and that barely pays for 1 medication for one month. Here is my reply to him. Don’t concern yourselves, They don’t read these things because they don’t care what you and I think!

I asked, PLEADED, for you to not approve the SOCIALIST Health Plan, but did you listen? Did you listen to the MAJORITY of your constituents??:?

I've been up close and personal with Bill Nelson. No one is home. There is light at the top of the stairs. He doesn't have the brains to pee when his bladder is full unless a lobbyist pays him. Voting him out will be a GREAT step in the right direction for poor Florida, which has had an unfair share of DUMB ASSES in office for too long.

Did you happen to hear Obama appointed Bob Graham (Florida's other senator, and a Democrat who I think actually HAS some brains) to some super-committee to solve the oil spill? Despite all the ass-kissing he's done, evidentially Nelson doesn't even have creds with Obama.

As a veteran, you don't have to worry about medical treatment, medicines and those silly donut holes. Consider yourself lucky and quitcherbitchen.

Since the Republicans pushed through the most expensive mandated entitlement program having no mandated funding, it would have been easy to eliminate the donut hole at the time. Just don't pay for that either! Instead, seniors get hit with thousands of dollars THEY DON'T HAVE after joining the benefits of the Part D program.

Instead of complaining about the $250 "buying your vote," you should be complaining that it's not nearly enough to compensate for this egregious oversight in the first place. In order to slowly make up for the hole, starting in 2011, participants will receive a 50% discount on covered drugs purchased during the "donut hole" period, and by 2020, the coverage gap is expected to be closed entirely. It's a done deal. Live with it.

Nobody wants to deny the right of military people the health care and other perks they enjoy following their service. But when the bitchiness comes across as "I got mine, so fuck you," it's a problem.
