Senate Republicans have the right idea

If the GOP had the right idea, they'd be talking about bringing manufacturing jobs home.

They are right that no stimulous package will work. Why not? Because they sent all the fucking jobs overseas!!! So people lost their jobs, are foreclosing on their homes, unemployment is going high, inflation, trade deficits, etc.

So as long as they keep lowering our wages and turning us into a 100% service industry country, we'll never fix what is wrong.

Want to bring manufacturing jobs home?

That's easy... strip the cost of US manufacturing of untenable leftist policy costs... and be prepared to work for .5cents a week.

Ya see dumbass, that's the goin' rate...

Here... look at it this way...

Let's say you have one of those high paying manufacturing jobs which require great SKILL... well things go along great until one day when you walk onto the floor and you find that the gal that holds down your spot in the shift ahead of yours has been replaced by a PARROT...

Well you spend a few terrorfied minutes, worried that your jobs on the chopping block when you union shop forman comes along and tells ya not to worry... you're not going anywhere because you are HIGHLY SKILLED... why you'll be making TWICE as much as the parrot... YOU'LL be getting TWO BAGS of bird seed....

Now what do you do? Do ya demand that the parrot, which is doing your job just as well as you do, be canned and further demand that you be paid MORE to do the same job that a parrot can do, than would the parrot?

Well that's what you're asking for now... The manufacturing job enjoyed high legacy wages... from when the job represented a something which required above average skill and talent. Not so anymore skippy. Technology has rolled on and those jobs just don't rate the kind of coin they used to; and when you add the INCREDIBLE REGULATORY COSTS heaped upon the manufacturer in the US... it doesn't balance. So they can either stay here and go bankrupt or they can go off shore and still earn a fine living.

Of course, if you'd like to work for sub-standard wages and demand that your leftist legislature SLASH regulatory liabilities... you'll bring those manufacturing jobs RIGHT BACK...

Good luck with that...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Republicans circulated a sweeping plan to drive down the cost of mortgages by expanding the federal government's role in the industry, officials said Monday night as debate opened on an economic stimulus bill at the top of President Barack Obama's agenda.

The emerging proposal also relies on a bigger and more widely available tax break for homebuyers than is now available, those officials added as Senate Republicans staked their claim to a different type of economic recovery measure than Democrats and the administration favor.

The Associated Press: Republicans want mortgage relief, larger tax cuts

Actually, they got it wrong, just like where you did posting the thread in this forum. They're sellouts and you're dumber than a brick.

Yup. The big "realestate bailout"... well, they have NO FUCKING CLUE where about 25% of that SEVENTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS WENT.... gee, I guess we just weren't watching... :cuckoo:

I have grown to hate republicans every bit as much as democrats. Together they WILL be the ruin of this country... in THIS life time.

This country is in BAD need of a REVOLUTION.

lol greatest depression

yes, there are bread lines outside my house...you fucking dolt

Hmmm. When in the last 50 years has the economy been in worse shape?

Even Obama has now changed his tune to note that the current economic climate is "the worst in nearly 30 years."

The Carter economy which led to the deep recession of the early 80's was still worse than what we are seeing today.

That is not to say we cannot worsen - we certainly can, but all of this disaster talk was a tool by which to get the liberal-agenda driven porkulus bill passed.

Thankfully enough people called BS on that, and now we will have some kind of compromise porkulus.

It will still be a ton of pork though, and that is not a good thing.
