Senate health bill will embrace 'public option'

Hey! I've got a great idea!

Let's get rid of the Insurance companies and replace them with a plan by the government that closely models a current plan that loses at least $60B annually to fraud and is TRILLIONS in the red!!!

Well, the Dums seem to have a big problem now. According to the CBO scoring, the plan would enroll very few people and charge higher premiums than insurance companies currently do.
Gee, reality bites I guess.
So the question becomes, why pass such a piece of shit at all if the effect is going to be minimal while the costs and mandates will be sweeping?
