Senate Approves Stimulous Bill!!!!

Accounting firms aren't hiring? LOL

I put in six applications today alone for job opportunities at accounting firms. The FDIC and the Comptroller are two of the hottest employers right now. Don't tell me accountants aren't hiring.

Sure, during tax season. And even they are overwhelmed with resume's.

And people in Michigan can't just leave and come to where you live (streets paved with gold) because we can't sell our homes.

You guys just don't get it.

Again, boo-fucking-hoo. You're the prime example of a person that sits around and whines about how the government should save you instead of getting off your ass and saving yourself.

You don't see that as a problem? Thank God people like you don't run government anymore. You didn't even see that it was a problem sending all our manufacturing overseas, so really, who cares what you see.

And I didn't even go into blaming Bush for the crashing housing market.

You don't see that as a problem?

The only problem I see is that you're not content with the way your life is, but you don't care enough to do anything about it. You'd rather sit around and wait on Obama to fix it for you. You're a pathetic, lazy, worthless fuck. Get off your ass, take responsibility for you and yours, and stop whining about how other people have it better than you do.

I'm not rich, but I'm content. My job pays well, I'm almost done with my educational goals, and I have all the things I need and most of the things I want (fiscally, anyway). Do you think I was able to obtain all those things because Bush was in office? Fuck no. It had nothing to do with who ran the government, it had to do with how I ran my own affairs. I didn't rely on the government to run them for me.

And yes, fuck stay at home mothers!!! Many middle class women who used to be able to stay at home no longer can.

Remember how impressed Bush was with that woman who told him she worked 3 jobs? That's not a good thing George!!! He thought she was bragging when she was trying to explain to the prick how hard it is to get by.

PS. I have a brother/sister in law. She went part time to raise her kids. HE lost his job. HE can't find another one. Now, if she is even able to next year, she will go back to full time.

And so far, this guy with a finance major can not find work. He was making $80k. Now he's probably going to have to take $50K.

Ah, the American dream. You guys are idiots. I hope I have distracted you from bothering anyone who might be impressionable.

I'm a SAHM and we are far from middle class. I think we're the working poor. lol You know how we did it? Used cars forever, no vacations, budgeting. Um, what else is that called? Oh yeah, we lived within our means. Was it hard? Sure. Was it worth it for me to be here for my kids while they grew up? Yup. It is the right choice for everyone? Nope. Do you hear me moaning for 'my fair share' from uncle? Nope. Oh and as for your friend who has to take a measly $50K? That'd be a fat raise in my house.

My mom was a sahm too and my dad made $12 hr. We only had one car too. Zero vacations, budgeting. Are you my mom?

I guarantee no one is tighter than my dad. He worked for Ford in the cafeteria for 20 years. He saved and has more than the white collar Ford guy living right next to him.

My dad doesn't buy anything unless it is on sale. NO, not just on sale. It must be a double coupon!!! Sometimes he comes home from the store and has a bag full of stuff PLUS he made a couple bucks. I can't believe what a coupon king he is.

And he'll agree with you that most Americans are too loose with their money.

But I think you missed the point. The point I was making is that today, it is almost impossible to be a SAHM.

And my other point was not to make fun of SAHM's, it was to expose that other woman WIllow for being such a know it all for a woman who doesn't do shit.

Sorry if that offends you. It shouldn't. I didn't mean to bash all sahm's.

how do youst know I donna do shit?

You're an IT guy?

OMG!!! I used to be against this, but now that I know it will fuck you, I am all for this:

Now I am all for more H1B Visa's!!!!

As, you can see Microsoft has 3,117 H1B Visa holders working for them and they certainly would need similar or even more number of H1B Visas for 2008 - 2009. Even, I read about Microsoft planning to move some of its positions to Canada which is about 2 hours drive from Seattle.

In 2005, Bill Gates had requested Congress to Scrap the H1B visa restrictions.

Bill Gates : We need more H1B Visa (2009)

Yet still they continue to cut your salaries!!! No way!!! They just want to hire cheaper foreign labor!

Well because of you, now I am all for it!!!!

Because it will keep your wages down.

I used to sell MCSE's and CNA's. They/You made $90K a year. Bet you don't make that anymore. You have sold YOURSELF out?

Amazing.

And how is this possible?

IBM hits back against over-timers with pay cut

IBM hits back against over-timers with pay cut • Channel Register

Do you realize they would never have gotten away with this if there was a shortage of IT pro's?

So then why is Bill Gates lobbying for more visas? Because he wants to flood the market with people like you!!! That makes you less valuable!!!

Sucker!!!!

Now I am going to scream for more of those visas!!!! We need more foreign IT pro's in this country who will work for much less than you!!!!

I actually was listening to Gates' testimony that day on CSPAN so you didn't need to quote it back to me. You may be right about H1b Visas for some folks. I'm not in that pool. You also might be right that if I was an MCSE I might have a problem making that. Although I have a buddy that was an IT Manager at an Indian Hedge Fund....was being the operative word. He just got a job at a .com for the same $105,000 he was making at the hedge fund. No 20% bonus though. So, you may be wrong about IT altogether.

In any case, I'm a consultant. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Certified Information Systems Auditor. I'm not hurting for work and I haven't made as little as $90,000 in so long I can't remember, more than 5 years anyway. So, thank you for all of your ill-wishes, but I'm afraid they are for not.

Don't be so sure.

And at least I got to expose you for someone who makes way more than the average person. So clearly you aren't feeling the pinch like someone who makes $50K a year.

Or, you don't know what it is like for the average person to lose their job that paid $70 and to have to take another job that pays $50K.

And I love how you guys mock a guy who got a finance degree. So even he is at fault! Got it. :cuckoo:

Or, you have a job that maybe is recession proof. Many of us do not. You don't care about them?

I never call millionaires stupid for voting for Bush. I just call them selfish/greedy/arrogant.

So you clearly aren't having the same problems many Americans are having. Nor do you understand that it is not all of their fault's.

There is a reason why unions vote Democratic every election. Why do you suppose?

cause you are too dumb to realize that the unions are putting your azzes outta work,, note GM is laying off 10,000 workers in America and thriving in Mexico..:cuckoo: you be crazy people.

Sealy, really, I mean if a guy has a SN that's Tech_Esq and he's in his peak earning years, why would you think he would be making less than $70k? Even now journeyman tech people are making $70-$80k. We hire our Senior Consultants at $90k starting. Only help desk people are making $50k.

I do everything I can to not be the guy "let go" right from the very beginning of my employment. That begins with who I agree to work for. So, in answer to your question, no I don't know how it feels to be fired and have to take a job for a lot less money. Probably not good.

I don't think I made any reference to the guy with the finance degree. So "you guys" must not refer to me.

I do have a job that's recession proof, whatever that means. By the way Sealy, the unemployment rate in the DC area is 4.7%. So, the area is fairly recession proof. Also, Hilton is moving their HQ to Fairfax county VA from Beverly Hills. So, if you need a job, send jingle mail to your bank and come on down. Either Uncle Sugar or Hilton will give you a bean counting job. Anyway, the census is just gearing up, lots of accountants needed for that.

I care, I just gave you a bunch of suggestions. :eusa_whistle:

I'm not a millionaire yet, but I'm working on it. How 'bout you? You are so jealous of people who have some wealth. You know why I have whatever I do and you don't? Because I worked harder than you. That's why. Plain and simple. I did things you would never do. I did what it took to get where I am. Further, I'll do what I need to to get to the next level too. I'll never stop pushing. I'll never stop getting more educated. I'll never stop pushing to a higher and higher level.

What about you? What will you do?

Greed? Kiss my ass. I was paid for the work I did. Selfish? Kiss my ass. I don't ask for your pay check, just mine. Arrogant? Because I get paid for my job? Please! Like you don't get paid for yours. Have you worked for free?

I just got an unsolicited job offer in the midwest Sealy, you want it? I don't need it. Oh right, you aren't qualified for it. Damn, that's tough dude.

My only goal in life anymore is to help Bill Gates get more of those foreign worker visa's. They'll do your job better and for less.

Of course they will, you are a lazy overpaid American, just like the rest of us.

And if I had a nickle for every schmuck that said it couldn't happen to them, I'd be rich.

PS. I have a very nice savings. At least I did until the GOP decided to fix the inflation they caused with all that Iraq spending by crashing the market. They put too much money into circulation and crashing the stock market was an easy way to wipe out half of Americas savings. Problem solved.

I make good money. $75K this year, $85K the year before. Already maxed out my January bonus if you can believe that. I can't.

And my home is almost paid off. Not to mention I bought it in the mid 90's when it was cheap.

So if it was you that was talking down to me, try again. I'm not a cry baby who cries for myself. That's the difference between me and Obama and you and Bush.

So in recent memory...

$750 BILLION for Tarp
(pushed by a Republican Administration...)

$838 BILLION for Stimulus Bill
(pushed by a Democrat Administration...)

$872 BILLION spent on Iraq and Afghanistan
(pushed by a Republican and now a Democrat Admin...)

And...

I'm sure more stimulus bills will be requested...

And...

The war on terror is basically an open check book...

It's truly amazing how this country operates.

As each party spends our way into oblivion, each party blames the other.

Too rich!

Two of the three voted for by Obama.

Government spending relative to GDP shows that if you spend more, unemployment rises. Go back from the 1970s to the 1980s to the 1990s. You'll see a pattern. As government spending decrease relative to GDP, unemployment decrease. See the Clinton years. It actually works. What we are doing now is the complete opposite. And the only bright thing ahead is the end of our Federal Government being replaced by a competent one. Not one where you are a republican or democrat. One where you actually represent the people who voted you there. WE THE TAXPAYERS SHOULD HAVE VOTED FOR THE STIMULUS PACKAGE SINCE ITS OUR MONEY, Not Washington.

What a good little socialist you are bobo! I imagine you sitting there with a copy of your little Red book in your hand as you type. No, you don't want other people to do well, you want to tear people down who have done well. Just like a socialist, if you see a head above the others WHACK IT DOWN WITH FORCE, VENGEANCE and the RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION of the WRONGED! For they only succeeded at your expense. Good little pie slicer.

But, you are clearly no baker, no pie grower. You would be the last to believe that making more pie gets everyone full. No you would rather slice ever smaller bits of pie for what people there are than ever trouble yourself to bake a pie. Typical bean counter.

You should have been like me bobo and got out of the market last February. :cuckoo: Hey I saw on the news bobo, they have houses for sale in Cincy for $7k. You could sell your house and be a land baron. Oh, wait, you're in Michigan.....can't sell your house there.

The only thing I talked down to you about was your lack of effort. But, I guess if you are satisfied making less money year after year. If you are satisfied making less than $100k, that's up to you. That's a lifestyle choice. There are lots of people that go into the government for the same reason. They only want to work 40 hours a week or less. Have regular hours and go home. Fine. You make that trade off.

But don't act like some union asshole finding someone working on their coffee break when you talk to me. I work more, I get paid more and I earned it. It's not for you to say, "You shouldn't have that." Now get in your Ford and commute home, it's past quitting time for you.

Here is the difference in my household REP. and a DEM household. They get laid off, and the REP will not even think about collecting an unemployment check but the DEM well they think they are now on vacation since they will still get money coming in, and run down to file for that Unemployment Check!

And the Dow drops nearly 5%.

Thank you Obama!!!!

One step closer for bankruptcy of the good ole U.s.of.A. Maybe when the Federal Gov't goes out of business, we can place competent ones in there who would work for the interest of the U.S. as a whole, rather than the special interest (who represent a minority). Who can run a business spending more than what you have? Republicans and Democrats have proven for the last 40 years (beside Clinton years), spending so easy mang!

We won! Obama is not a failure!!!! You guys were ready to call it 2 weeks into his presidency? HA!!! fucking losers!!!

yeah you won the right spend us right into Bankruptsy

you jack ass.

Mark my words if this bill passes as is, in 7 to 10 months we will see a massive spike in Inflation, and shrinking GDP.

I find this situation so funny it hurts. Bobo, the guy who has been screaming about Bush spending us into Ruin for years. Is cheer leading for Massively irresponsible deficit spending disguised as a stimulus package.

Your Ignorance knows no bounds Bobo. Obama, Pelosi, and Reid will spend us into ruin. US currency will collapse before this is over.

Thanks for proving to us all just how full of shit you are. You never cared about Deficit spending, you only cared that it was not your party doing it.

So many lies Bobo.

The Dems are spending at a rate 2 to 3 times as fast as Bush did, and you think it is just great.

What a FOOL!!!!!

I am just getting the real sense this administration is completely clueless.

We wait for a delayed press conference on the TARP II scenario, and get almost zero details - and a promise that a separate package is being worked on to combat housing foreclosures.

Say WHAT? That means this administration is already admitting to yet MORE spending beyond the current TARP and Stimulus Bills before those two things have even been put into place.

Obama promises no pork - yet the stimulus bill is plagued by special-interest spending.

Obama promised no lobbyists and yet his administration is rampant with them.

Last week he states only private business can truly get us out of the economic mess - yet last night only government has the power to do the job.

His Vice President states there is a 30% chance for failure - Obama shrugs it off and makes light of it.

Obama promises to create 2 million jobs, then 3 million jobs, and now says he will create or save 4 million jobs.

This is getting downright scary.

It's sad that Obama was able to brainwash so many people. Hell, after his election, I was even hopeful. Even during his appointment of Clinton I was excited. Then it all went downhill from there. If he continues on this path, we'll all be bankrupt before the end of his first term.

Sure is, and this retardedness could not come at a worse time. The last thing America Needs is more irresponsible Deficit spending, but like Big Dog Obama says, we can expect Trillion dollar Deficits for the foreseeable future.

Now if that is true I have one suggestion for you all. If you have a cabin in the woods do not sell it. Our Currency is going to collapse and you will want a place to hide.

Hmm, don't know about me being your mom. How old are you again? :D My mom was a SAHM too. I remember my parents telling me when they were first married about all their friends buying new cars, fur coats (it was politically correct in the 50's), going on vacations, etc. My mom and dad knew that when us kids came along my mom would stay home. She wanted to. So they didn't buy new cars, or fur coats, or go on fancy vacations. All their friends made fun of them. But they stopped laughing when my parents put down $9,000 on their first house (I think the house cost around $20,000). Pretty damn good.

lol my dad is like yours, except he doesn't pay enough attention. I remember him coming home from the grocery store with the gianormous box of xbrand waffles that no one ate and ended up in the trash. But he's the guy who will find the cheapest gas or put an empty beer bottle in the toilet tank to save some bucks. But a shrewd business man he was (and still is). He worked his way up from box boy to president of the company he worked at for 50 years. Pretty damn good.

No, not all moms can stay at home if that is what they want. Not if they're off spending beyond their means and buying their kids every new gadget that comes along. And ALOT of people are like this. And some families have to have two incomes just to put food on the table. But I know alot of people who have been SAHM and no one is starving. However, it does require sacrifices.

I hope Obama's plan works but honestly, I think it is going to put us even further down the road of recession. I also think his master plan is one party rule and this is what he will push for every, single chance he gets. Too many things about the guy . . . I don't know and I just don't trust him. He's already broken several campaign promises (no lobbyists, transparency, off shore drilling, this stimulus package -- he originally wanted it to be tax cuts and massive infrastructure projects, but that's a far cry from what is going to be passed). Even if this thing works, the debt will be with this country for as far as the eye can see.

The guy is excited that the new gov did the single most irrisponsible thing it could, a pork bill costing a fortune disguised as 'stimulus.'

OK genius, the deficet is now off the chart, and the economy is going down for the third time, what's next, 'stimulus part duex?'
