For those not familiar with the convicted CA Senator Lee. He was a big time anti-gun Senator in California. Was behind many of the bills that ultimately infringed on Californians civil rights. That is just one of the many reasons after 37 years I left the state one day after retirement. Kamala Harris teamed up with Yee many times to push the anti-gun legislation. Did she know what was to become of Senator Yee? Was she complicit?

Senator Lee was arrested and convicted on gun trafficking and corruption charges.

n the wake of the recent mass shootings in Colorado and Wisconsin, the leader of the California Senate and the state attorney general said Monday they support a gun control bill aimed at making it harder to reload assault rifles.

Senate President Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento) and Atty. Gen. Kamala D. Harris said the measure addresses weapons like those used in the movie theater shooting in Colorado last month that left 12 dead. Another gunman killed seven people at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin over the weekend.

Sen. Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) has introduced a bill that would prohibit semiautomatic rifles or kits with features that allow easy release and replacement of large ammunition clips, either through the push of a button with a finger or use of a tool.

This Wednesday, Yee received a five-year prison sentence for accepting bribes and trafficking in arms.
After initially denying culpability, Yee pleaded guilty to the charges last summer.

This needs researched more. Just what did she know about her teammate Sen Lelland Yee? This dude was a poster boy for the gun grabbers. And in CA, he was responsible for a few bills that convinced me to fire the state one day after retirement. Yet this guy was running guns, and with Harris as AG, she was onboard pretty much anything Lee did. I hope someone ask her about those days in CA

SACRAMENTO (CBS / AP) — A Republican candidate for California attorney general said Friday that state lawmakers who are found guilty of crimes that endanger the lives of others should face the death penalty.

Phil Wyman, who spent 17 years in the state Legislature, said he was motivated by the case of Democratic Sen. Leland Yee. Yee faces federal charges that include an attempt to coordinate an international gun-running scheme from the Philippines.

Wyman also criticized Democratic Attorney General Kamala Harris for being “silent as a mouse” on the corruption cases that have marred the state Senate this year. A campaign spokesman for Harris declined comment.
