Sen. John Cornyn Denies The GOP Is Turning Its Back On Joe Miller, But

Saw this this morning too.

Miller's slipping into third place, with Murkowski the clear winner. IF she were actually on the ballot she'd walk away with this. As it is, the big question is who will pay for the lawyers to steal this election: The DNC or the GOP?

Either way, Murkowski will have to fight tooth and nail to take the seat that will be rightfully hers. If Miller is in second place, expect the GOP to fight every single write in ballot. If Miller isn't, then it'll be the DNC.

Long story short: Murkowski WILL win the election on Wednesday, she'll just end up having it stolen from her while the partisans cheer.
Nahhhhhhhhhhhhh......only the RNC has the experience to manage a coup, like that.

The 'Baggers will (just) have to learn to accept what Status Quo Republicans determine.

Maybe Dick Armey will award each o' his 'Baggers a consolation-gift; an autographed-photo of himself, maybe....before he cuts-'em-free.

Can you imagine how delighted the Dems would be if the Green Party or Socialists Party ever did that well in a race?

I know those of us unhappy with 2 party politics would be delighted.

It's like I said: If Alaskian law had actually let Murkowski get on the ballot, she'd walk away with this. Its the fact she's a write in that will let the GOP and DNC steal this election. And people wonder how we ended up with a Two Party system.

OK. Let me get this right.

You are saying that Murkowski who is a Republican, ran as a Republican in the primary and lost as a Republican in the primary is being wronged and the GOP is stealing this election away from her?

If this is what you truly mean I have to tell you that your thought process just hurt my brain.

Miller is a weirdo, but I still think he is going to win in the end. I have a difficult time believing a write-in candidate can win a U.S. Senate race, particularly since it's only been accomplished once in U.S. history.

traditionally, write-in's don't win. and as of now they're predicting that miller gets it.

but they also say alaska is incredibly difficult to poll.

so who knows?

Maybe Clinton will ask the Dem to step aside here too or is the Democrat Scott McAdams white and untouchable?

Thats why none of you are on topic, the pot calling the kettle black.

I already addressed that dipshit. Wake up already.

Why are you still off topic? Not a word about Miller.

Just wondering how anyone is supposed to really know anything about Joe Miller with the corrupt media up in Alaska?

Considering that Murkowski is leading in the polls, and is on the verge of outright winning the general election, yeah, I think when the lawyers show up to contest every single ballot we can safely classify this as "stealing the election."

I have no illusions about this. As a write in candidate Murkowski, who would win this seat under any kind of fair count, will have to fight in court for every single ballot to be counted. The lawyers, paid by the GOP if Miller is in second place and by the DNC if he's not, will contest every misspelling in an effort to steal this one.

If you're ok with the lawyers stealing this one, I hope you don't ever try to invoke the will of the people again.

What polls are you reading? Most of the polls listed at Real Clear Politics has this race at a toss up if not leaning Miller.

And regarding the spelling rule, that is part of Alaska's election rules. The GOP didn't make them up. And if Murkowski had won the nomination and Miller had been the write in candidate Murkowski would have her lawyers all over it.

And she will have her lawyers banked with Daddy's money as it is if the election is close.

And for someone professing to be for a system other than a two party system, I really do find your pro Murkowski position most confusing.

She is no underdog. Lisa has been Daddy's girl all thru this race. A true RINO thru and thru. A Rockefeller Republican who feels entitled to a Senate position blue blood republican.

Alaska law is voter intent. You'll see a lot of dishonest lawyers trying to argue that slight misspellings are clear signs the voter meant someone else.

And the polls I'm seeing here in the home stretch are showing Murkowski up by a considerable lead on the other too. The idea she won't get to fill the seat she'd rightfully win under any kind of reasonable criteria of voting law ticks me the heck off.

The last two points deserve their own response:

And for someone professing to be for a system other than a two party system, I really do find your pro Murkowski position most confusing.

I'm upset because down the line, if someone else runs and wins by write in, the immenent theft of the election in Alaska will provide the blue print for how to steal the seat from the one selected by the electorate. Namely, contest each and every little misspelling, disregard voter intent, and claim you have the backing of the majority of the public. Or short story: Bullshit until you win.

She is no underdog. Lisa has been Daddy's girl all thru this race. A true RINO thru and thru. A Rockefeller Republican who feels entitled to a Senate position blue blood republican.

She's also the one that the public clearly wants here at the end. In the end, if the public wants a RINO, shouldn't they get one?

If the Tea Party wants to spout this "VOICE OF THE PEOPLE RESPECT US!" line of BS, then they need to realize that some folks do want a RINO. Some areas of the country do want the Democrat. You can't claim to be the "Voice of the People" and then disregard/contest the results of an election just because you don't like those results. All that proves is that as group you're no different from the existing GOP and DNC.

With all due respect, the only one that I saw that had Murkowski out in front with McAdams behind and Miller in third was the Hayes poll which was commissioned by a Union called the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

I know Murkowski herself released a poll it was last Thursday I believe which no surprise had her in the lead. I believe that was Dittman.

PPP has Miller in the lead and the CNN/Time Poll which had Miller and Murkowski tied had conveniently omitted the 18 to 34 year old age group.

So the polls are all over but the majority have Miller still with a slight lead.

It will be interesting to say the least.

Electoral-vote.com shows Murkowski up when you average PPP+Hays Rese+Dittman as of Oct 31st. She was still up back on Oct 26th without PPP.
