I can picture it Now! all these high powered lawyers groveling and standing for ovations at Hillarious clintons every word. Shoot I can't get that picture out of my mind. :duh3:
Hillary Rodham Clinton zinged the Bush administration on everything from unwarranted wiretapping to the reconstruction of New Orleans before a packed San Francisco audience Saturday night.
``I've been absolutely amazed -- even shocked -- at the level of arrogance and incompetence,'' she said to wild applause from the audience of 1,800. ``I don't believe I'm alone in that.''(You know what I mean????

The most-talked about undeclared presidential candidate for 2008 (gosh this reporter is on her knees kissing hillarious..................... ass............i mean.......hand) gag me!-- :fifty: whom President Bush himself described Friday as ``formidable'' -- appeared at the Masonic Auditorium on Nob Hill with former NBC-TV host Jane Pauley. The interview with Pauley was designed to show that the former First Lady and current New York senator is more than just an ardent campaigner.
Pauley's first question to Clinton was why she thinks Americans are ready to accept a female president, as recent polls suggest.''
The crowd reacted to that with resounding applause.
But her San Francisco welcome was not all rosy. Clinton showed up more than 30 minutes late to meet the liberal leaning San Francisco Bar Association crowd. About two dozen protesters stood in the rain Saturday evening.Some wore big theatrical ears, to decry her refusal to call for an immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq. They carried signs reading: ``Hillary, You Are Not Listening'' and ``End the War Now.''
``We would like Hillary to be a leader to get us out of the Iraq war,'' said Nancy Mancias, an organizer for Bay Area Code Pink, an organization that was joined by a few anti-war veterans and other peace activists.
About five minutes into Clinton's interview, three protesters stood in the upper balcony and yelled ``Hillary, stop supporting the war!'' They were quickly escorted away.
On several occasions, Clinton lambasted the Bush administration for its ``arrogance of power.'' She said she was particularly outraged about reports of unwarranted wiretapping by the National Security Agency.
``That is deeply troubling to me,'' she said. ``There's a differnce between giving up privacy under the rule of law and giving it up by executive fiat.''
Clinton also said she supports stabilizing Iraq before bringing the troops home, but stressed that the Iraqi government must take on increasing responsibility.
Although she has not declared her candidacy for president, since mid-January Clinton has been one of the administration's fiercest critics, prompting pundits to declare that she is already off and running. Bush, in a CBS interview that aired Friday night, suggested Clinton would be a formidable contestant.
For the past two weeks, in carefully planned settings before Bush's State of the Union address Tuesday, Clinton has criticized the Bush administration for its lack of a health-care plan; the GOP-led Congress, which she likened to a ``plantation'' for stymieing dissent; and the president himself, for not standing strongly enough against Iran's nuclear build-up.
Clinton arrived in San Francisco from Portland, Ore., as part of a West Coast swing that includes several fundraisers for her 2006 Senate re-election campaign in New York. Real estate magnate Walter Shorenstein is co-hosting one fundraiser in San Francisco Sunday.
Saturday night's event was a fundraiser for the San Francisco Bar Association, whose executive director is longtime Clinton friend and Arkansas native Martha Whetstone.
Democratic political consultant and former Clinton White House staffer Chris Lehane said the protesters do Clinton, who has been campaigning as tough defender of the nation's security, more good than harm elsewhere in the country.
``Every time she is faced with protesters against the war, it strengthens her hand and shows she can be viable in the national election,'' Lehane said. `It's a test any serious Democratic contender has to pass.'' These people are planted there to try to make her look tough on national defense... Like we're all to stupid to realise this?
