Palestine does not need the approval of Israel or the UN.

    Indeed, you are correct.

There are two schools of thought in Palestine.

One is by the "Oslo people." These are a shrinking number of people, usually Fatah, who are centered around Abbas and his illegal government in the West Bank. They believe they have to beg to get a state. They believe that if they surrender and disarm that Israel will throw them a few crumbs. It is clear that Israel is not going to give the Palestinians anything but they are getting all the money and weapons, so hey...

Then there are those who believe that Palestine has been a state since 1922 and it has been occupied by Israel since 1948. They have a very different strategy on how to deal with Israel.

BTW, I think it is an Oslo thing to beg the UN for recognition. I oppose that action.

Every Palestinian organization should agree to recognize Israel's right to exist to call thier bluff that they would then engage in meaningful negotiations. Israel has painted itself into a corner and canot do anything but keep saying it hasn't. Someday the US will drop them like a hot rock.

Telling the Palestinians to say that Israel has the "right" to occupy their country.

    Isn't that a stretch?

Any "crumbs" given to a 23rd Arab state, and 2nd Palestinian state, is already more than they deserve. Fatah is illegal? Which Arab government in the world IS legal? And the reason Israel is not willing to give the Palestinians anything, is because of terrorists like you, Mr. Tinmore. You are sabotaging your own "precious" cause. BTW, shame on you for not answering a direct question of mine in a previous thread.
