Why are we paying for a Federal holidays that are no longer being taught in the schools. Same for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Progressives don't like these days so we should make them work those days instead of giving them the day off with pay

What "heroic" things did he do, aside from "discovering" a new country (that was already both 1. inhabited, and 2. had already been "discovered" by other Europeans)
