Kirk: "Scotty! Do you read me? We're in danger. Get us out of here.."

Scott: "Aye capt'n, ....full power to the shields Ensign! We've got the warp drive online but she's having some problems with..."

Kirk: "Scotty, dammit, we're on the planet, it's us, Kirk and Spock, we need you to beam us up now Scotty!"

Scott: "Aye sir I'm giving her all she's got to ... did you say you are still on the surface sir?

Kirk: "Scotty are you reading me, beam us up!"

Scott: "Aye aye sir!"
....

....

"Engergizing"
....

....

....

Kirk:"Scotty? Can you read me?"

Scott: "Full speed ahead sir?"

Kirk:"No Scotty, why haven't we beamed up?"

Scott: "Aye aye sir, I beamed you up."

Kirk: "Dammit Scotty did you press the button?"

Scott: "Aye capt'n."

Kirk: "Try it again"

Scot: "Aye capt'n, energizing."

...

...

Kirk: "Scotty?"

Scott: "Still here captain."

Kirk: "Mr. Spock, does your tricorder show something wrong?"

Spock: "Hmm... fascinating. I do believe the Enterprise itself seems to have formed a barrier around itself which prevent us from teleporting."

Kirk: "Mr. Scott did you leave the shields up?"

Scott: "Shields are up captain!"

Kirk: "ScOOOOTYYYY!!!!"

SEATTLE - James M. Doohan, the actor who played Scotty on the '60s "Star Trek" TV series, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease (news - web sites), his agent confirmed Tuesday.

A toast to Scotty for being a wonderfull addition to my youth...

:cheers2:

Rest easy, guy.

that's such a shame... i can't imagine having to see a loved one go through that....

he was at his best in Star Trek 4.... my humble opinion.
TV episodes were great but he got better with age until now.

Oh that's so sad. God Bless him, and his poor family. I couldn't imagine having to watch a family member go through that. :(
